I understand my breh. Just let me ask you something, no right nor wrong.

Should your current boss provide you with so much struggle, making your life a living hell and then you see a open position with known networks that can easily get you that job with higher salary and allow you more time with your son that needs constant care for his entire life because he needs it... wouldn't you take it?

Let me ask you a question based on how I see it?

If you were offered a job to be the president of company that was failing. You knew going in you have to travel for whatever reason and your son had health issues which would better for him you to stay home. You also knew some employees won't like you there including the board of directors because you will be shaking things up and kicking out all of the people they had worked with for so many years.

You know there a bigger and better jobs you wish you could have. Also, this is going to take years to fix. But with all that you decide to take the job anyway. You call up people from around the industry and tell them "look I know its bad but together we are going to fix this thing" They see the issue but they decide to follow you and trust in your vision. After two years the ship isn't fixed yet but i didn't get worse. Another bigger company offers you a better deal. You think " I won't have to travel, I'll make more money, and won't have to deal with these a$$hole board of directors bytching about how it used to be"

So you leave but all your employees who believed in you and your vision are stuck at the old job. They can't as easily leave like you. So their stuck in a mess when they could have gone elsewhere with less risk and bs to deal with.

Would you not think that was a snake move.

Probably didn't know the extent of the ridiculousness he was going to be getting from the university. People longing for the old Paterno ways. NO, motherfukkers, you need to distance yourselves as far away from that shyt as possible. It would be fair to assume that going in the people would want a fresh start, but they're just being fukking @ssholes about it. I don't blame O'Brien. fukk em.

I can understand saying f the university if their being a$$holes but, think of the kids you've screwed who came to play for you. Also I people are saying how badly Penn State treated him can some link me to an article detailing all of the stuff they put this guy through. It must be a heck a lot for him to pull a stunt like this.

See though, it would depend on the company and what was their product. Like if you asked me to be the president of Blockbuster, I would have said no thanks; since it was already going to die, and I would be just the transitioning president. Now if it was going to take years to fix, I would ask first "Tell me exactly what is going on. Don't hide everything." and if they were honest about it I would take the job. However, if the job later came along saying how we need to "Respect the history and tradition of the company." then I would get pissed off because I know how to fix the problems but the stockholders want the old school values; one which allowed the former president at his old age, to didn't see a crime happening within his own board.

Because the media cannot get see the background, but only thru PR, they might label me a snake but the entire story won't be seen just because of legal ramafactions.

Lord knows I wouldn't :heh:

That's not a good analogy, tho. Bill O'Brien's move was more snake like than that fictitious president

What about your employees. See that my whole argument. You screwed the players or in the case of my analogies they employees you brought in. You dipped and left them high and dry.

Nah I meant he knew psu had these problems going in. If he didn't want to deal with it or wanted to be a Head coach in NFL he shouldn't have took the job

In his career path it was a better job than what he had previously as an O coordinator. Then a job came along that was better than his current situation at PSU. Dude is trying to further his career nothing more nothing less.

They can find "jobs" elsewhere if it's that huge an issue to them. (They'll have to wait a year which is fukked up but that's neither here nor there) but most of those cats are gonna stay. That's the way the game is. There's a great chance the coach that recruited you will not be there on senior day.

I have no problem advancing your career. But dude told players to stay and commit in the middle of a shytstorm and that they would as a "family" ride it out. Then bounced. Thats what I thought was a snake move.

Again it makes sence but the title is Obrien his a snake and played that role.
