O'brien performed a fukking miracle with Matt McGloin.

He is a worse coach than McDaniels was. He continuously struggled to make second half adjustments. He benefited from inheriting Brady, Gronk, Welker, and Hernandez. Let's not get carried away with this guy. He's good at simplifying the game for a QB and he did that in college, but it is that same thing that made his offenses stall in the second half in the NFL. He's still 50-50 and not a guarantee whatsoever in the pros.

I'm not talking about his play with the raiders. The only reason he got a shot in the L is because of O'brien. if you would of seen the last year of joe pa vs. o'brien's first year at PSU it was night and day.

Don't know why it's so hard to take the word of two obvious PSU fans who have most likely watched every single game for years now. Bruh, I DETESTED McGloin for years due to his inconsistency, Brett Favre-like mentality without the arm to back it up, ridiculous amount of interceptions, complete and utter collapses against any even halfway decent defense, etc..

With that said, if I'm the Texans, I trade for Ryan Mallet who O'Brien knows and who has the arm to stretch the field and draft Clowney instead. Mallet can be had for a second rounder or a third.
