People gotta stop making excuses for Rose, particularly that "it's his body" shyt. Dude's been medically cleared to play for two months and has been practicing full-speed for at least a month. He can't do any further structural damage to his knee. If he gets injured again, it won't be because he came back too soon. It'll just be a freak accident.

Don't tell me he's more likely to injure himself than Noah, Hinrich or Deng. He shoulda come back in March when they could have eased him back into the rotation. Even now, if he comes back for 10-20 minutes a game off the bench and gives them some scoring punch off the bench, that'd be a huge lift.

Stop coddling this guy and worrying about his money. That contract is guaranteed; he's getting paid regardless. I can only imagine the backlash if LeBron or Carmelo were to pull some shyt like this.

I don't have problems with him not playing, just him or the team for not being real with everyone and telling us what was up. Sounds like this decision was made a while ago. It's only causing more trouble for rose and taking away attention from how well the team has been doing. This story won't go away when he continues to perpetuate this myth that he 'may' return against Miami.

Playing football in the school gym 1999 a fat nikka stepped on my foot and I sprained my ankle....time wuz running out....so much pain:why: what did I do?I stayed in the game, caught one hail mary touch down and another diving one handed catch and we won the game:obama:....but if Derrick Rose wants to sit on the sidelines and watch hi temates go out like soldiers and show all the heart:manny:....his team said he wuz ok months ago,do they doctors not know wtf they talkin about THAT much?

At this point I agree tho,if he ain't come back by now it ain't no point tryna come back just to get tossed by the heat.....if the injury in his head that serious just sit it out til next season when your confidence is back.

Leave it to a coli nikka to compare a torn ACL to a sprained ankle :shaq2:

I've had 2 major knee surgeries already, injuries take time, especially when they're back to back.

And y'all expect him to come back and keep up with Wade and Bron :snoop:

Penny was better than Rose in every aspect of the game. Better shot, passer/playmaker as good handles for his size. He even had a nice post game.

This is so insane, that it's obvious you didn't actually watch Penny.

I can tell most of y'all never even played sports or been hurt before. It usually takes around a year to just get back to NORMAL everyday things, not even thinking about ball. Rose should set his own timetable, why the fukk would he put his knees in the hands of someone else? :why:

But I do say that he should have had a different role this year. Like a face of the franchise or 'assistant coach' or something like that. I only saw dude on the bench at games like four times
Yeah, I think those who have never had ACL reconstruction don't know what it is like.

I've had ACL reconstruciton surgery. It takes a while to get your range of motion back first. And then, it takes a while to get your muscle strength back. Your quadraceps atrophy post-surgery. Your body doesn't want to flex the quads while it is healing. I used to have big even-sized quads, Post surgery, I saw my left quad shrinking and I couldn't do anything about it. Then on top of that, your other leg becomes even stronger because it is making up for your other leg's weakness. My quads were way uneven when I got cleared to start light resistance exercises. It was months before I could go from walking to jogging. Running fast was a no-no. It took much longer before I could start squatting. And when I could, I was doing at 20% of max pre-surgery. Just to give you an idea, I could barbell squat 315 lbs at 10 reps and I weighed around 165 pre-surgery.
So when the doctor's say he's medically cleared, that means he can run, jump, turn, sprint, stop, etc., but they aren't saying he's back to 100% effort.

Second note, maybe Derrick Rose chooses not to take steroids or whatever illegal substances to aid in recovery, because that's how NFL players do it, like... Ray Lewis... hack... cough.

I just dont see how anybody can respect rose at this point... He gets away with too many Ls

Cheated on SATs
Choked away NCAA title
Arguably the most undeserving MVP ever
not playing despite months of medical clearance

If this was the other recent MVPs the world would be going crazy :pachaha:

Bill Simmons could say hitler was a bad guy and he be wrong

nothing this guy says is right he's a disgrace to all sport writers and really human beings in general

And you're the worst Heats poster not named Thug Life but we're not here to question Bill Simmons acumen as a sports writer. That's simply ad hominem. Talk about the piece. Not the guy who wrote it. Or maybe you can make an attempt to implicate both.

If Rose comes back and plays bad, The Bulls fanbase and the media will tear him down. It will be blame it on him for fukking up the chemistry :beli:

If he doesn't come back then everybody is calling him a sucka for not battling with his teammates who have injuries of their own and continue to play.

I for one think he should just make a decision and then stand by it and stop the issue from lingering is all.

How can anyone say it's too soon tho? He's taken an extra 6(?) months for recovery time He's doing everything in practice including dunking. If he ain't ready nobody can make him play, but folks gotta stop with the too early gibberish.

So you're saying anyone that came back in less than one year from ACL surgery was using roids? :heh:
