Y'all kill me with this internet racial profiling. I'm as black as black can fukking be. What does me not wanting to watch ESPN's white noise of First Take, simulcasts of Mike & Mike, Beadle's show, the one with Jemele, and 70 different showings of Sportscenter have to do with my race? If something doesn't interest me I don't pay attention to it. I'm not entertained by people with fake opinions and if someone is I actually think less of them PLUS Mayweather is where he is today because he's one of the best to fukking do it not because he makes people mad. People watch that man for the talent in the ring not for his press conferences.

You really believe that?:patrice: Mayweather is def one of the goats, but his style is not one that the casual fan appreciates.

they saying he found out via twitter :damn:

So Bill Simmons and ESPN are splitting up. What the fukk?! We asked around at the Worldwide Leader to get water-cooler reactions to the news. This is what we got from our sources at ESPN and Grantland.

Four sources tell us there’s a rumor going around ESPN and Grantland that Simmons found out about the move via Twitter. (A fifth source denies this.) “Cold-hearted/hilarious,” one person says. “Guy is a massive dikkhead. But he’ll just land at Fox Sports with Horowitz now for the same money. Yay.”

“Ding Dong the witch is dead.” (That’s how one ESPN staffer describes the vibe in Bristol.)

“Sounds like Skipper’s the one who said ‘Man, fukk this.’”

—“It was pretty clear they haven’t gotten along in a long time.”

“Can’t say anything right now.”

“Everything is high school.”

“Not unexpected.”

“From everything I heard, [Grantland] was only viable due to Simmons traffic and sponsorship $.”

One ESPNer points us to Simmons’s appearance on the Dan Patrick Show yesterday morning. (He took to the show to talk about Ballghazi.) Here’s the clip in question. On its face, nothing he said was too offensive, though he did take a couple shots at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, saying the handling of the scandal was “pathetic” and that Goodell lacked the “testicular fortitude to do anything until he gauges public reaction.” Not even wrong! Speaking about Ballghazi on another network, however, may have been a final, final, final straw.

@aceboon @CHICAGO @Brooklynzson someone gotta update the thread title :mjlol:

Bill Simmons let go by ESPN...found out via twitter :laff:

According to unnamed ESPN sources, Grantland was only profitable because of Simmons related traffic and corporate sponsors. Without those sponsors you can kiss Grantland as you know it goodbye.

I like the Jacoby/Juliet podcasts, the Wesley Morris / Pappademas Podcasts, Barnwell, etc but we all know that sponsors aren't gonna pay big bucks for that

simmons article on duncan was :mjcry:

That's why i read him

Typical "I'm not racist or anything, but..."

This is just a small sample of his garbage. Funny, 8 years later Kevin Love is viewed as one of the most selfish players in the NBA, while OJ Mayo relishes a spot as a 6th man. F*ck Bill Simmons.
lmao

did you even read the paragraph after you bolded?

Talent trumps everything. Broner is more of a heel than Mayweather and he barely registers with most people. Mayweather doesn't go out of his way to say fukked up stuff about people. He's confident. He bets on himself. He says what he believes. He's not a troll. He's a cat that got rich and shows it off. That's no different than any other rich cat.

Honestly you kill me being this stupid. Who racially profiled you? Maybe you wish people did that's why you came to a conclusion I didn't say or even imply. I just meant I normally hear white people say things like you said not that you weren't black. That don't have shyt to do with you being white at all. Also who said you had to pay attention because I've also said in other threads they have fake opinions at times so what are you really saying? A lot of people watch Mayweather to see him lose because if it was just because of skill so many people wouldn't say his fights are boring. @Pesci out of curiosity what part do,you agree with?
