Simmons used to actually watch sports. I don't think he really watches games anymore outside of a handful of events. His takes used to be base on fact or what was actually happening. Now, it just seems like he goes on second hand accounts or whatever happened five years ago.

I don't understand the appeal of his podcasts

You stay saying the dumbest stuff on this site. I don't even like BS but instead of jumping on and capitalizing on every opportunity his success afforded him he have just answered emails for a living?
Great vision, has great ideas, a lot of the stuff he does nowadays is forced, he appeals to frat boys and corn balls. Kind of what Dan LeBatard talks about sometimes, you can't be young forever, and BS really tries to appeal to the younger folks, because that's what's popular, when he says "it's lit" it gives you the douche bumps, cringe as fukk. Look at Jimmy Kimmel, that dude doesn't take himself seriously, so he stays popular, and is like able, with Bill, as much as he will be the first to point out that he is not hip, you can see in his personality that he really thinks he is, and it would burn his soul if he knew that nobody really thinks he is "cool"
Normally I would agree but the challenge actually made some headlines this year with the twist at the end. I can see why he wanted to capitalize on the fact that it was actually somewhat relevant.Only seen a couple of youtube clips of his show, have no desire on watching it tbh. Maybe it will get better once US sports season really begins though, there's not a lot going on right now..

And I agree he's becoming the old guy that surrounds himself with young people to stay hip and fails when he tries to talk like them. But shyt, as long as The Ringer gets better and the podcasts keep coming he can do whatever the fukk he wants
I'm a bill fan but the show is really hard to watch and as a result of the show his podcasts have become less frequent. So far, this Ringer/HBO endeavor has been a failure imo.
