The fact they're thinking of paying a man who pretends Lebron isn't one of the 10 best NBA players in history and a man who has fake callers into his show to prevent real dialogue is wild to me. I feel like this is exactly why I don't watch espn outside of live sporting events.

Well this is interesting news to wake up to. You could see it coming, but I never thought either side would actually go through with the split. Their relationship as of late was the perfect example of a hate-hate, that was mutually beneficial. Seems like Bill knew that, and figured he might as well try and get as much as he could. I know everyone looks at the money aspect, but I bet the real reason this is happening is Bill tried to get more autonomy, and maybe a little more power, and Skipper wasn't having it.
Whoever said that Skipper "slapped that whiny fool around" with the quotes in that article, well, that was kinda the point of him leaking the split: getting out in front and trying to look like the good guy. He probably expected Bill to do the same, and possibly talk some shyt while he did it, so he got out in front of it. All that is is PR games.
It'll be interesting to see what happens to Grantland. Clearly by Skipper's words, it's ESPN property, but I'm sure a large majority of the writers there are there because of Bill. If ESPN isn't gonna let him leave with it (and why would they, if it's making them money), then I bet there's gonna be a pretty big exodus of ppl leaving.

Serious question. Why does he make you so angry? He doesn't really say or do anything crazy inflammatory. His voice is annoying on TV, but his research is usually on point in his book and articles. I don't fukk with Skip, SAS, or Cowherd, but I'm more indifferent than angry.
