Its not like he needs ESPN
He does need them. The best stories came from ESPN's infinite budget. Nobody would read his stories if they weren't plastered on the front page of ESPN.
He's an awful writer, a low key racist, and knows next to nothing about the basketball. He dreams up fantasy trade scenarios, throws in pop culture and movie references, and bashes talented players in favor of less talented white guys. He not only does this in sports, he does the same for movies and TV.
He whines and complains about everything, when in actuality he's the luckiest man in sports journalism. A fanboy of minimal talent (both written and athletic) who got to live his dream by appealing to a crowd of his ilk. This is the same guy who basically made Magic Johnson leave espn because Magic saw how much power he had over their show. A guy who has never picked up a ball in a meaningful game telling Magic Johnson he knows more about basketball.

Good riddance.
