Lets look at it like this. Kanye has like 20M Twitter followers. Bootlegging aside, if he gets 5% of his followers to sign up for tidal or buy the digital copy, he already won.

I think he wants his music to be exclusive like his shoes...

90% of the regular Black folks over 30 on my Facebook haven't even heard the album yet or even know that it's been released...

The same type of folks that were quoting Drake lines a week after his last album dropped..
Foh idoit. Those "over 30 types" was in they late teens early 20s when College Dropout dropped and are some of his biggest fans. And can actually afford a Tidal subscription:mjlol: Kanye has been the talk of music for a hot minute now, def jam will drop this and he`ll do his numbers

To be the only thing I care about is listening to the album. He made that difficult by putting it on Tidal which I do not subscribe to, nor have the time to download and enter all my information (do they ask for a cc)? Then I actually need to remember to cancel it before I get charged.

Life is busy! If you limit the access to the consumer those are the repercussions. I ain't heard it yet!
I'm sure he don't give a fukk. I'm sure tidal already paid him for this exclusive

The music business ain't the fashion business. A bootleg album got the exact same lyrics and sound as the original. You can bring up knock off Yeezys, but a bootleg TLOP is easier to come by than fake Yeezys, and no one cares if you buy bootleg music except for the music industry.

You sound retarded. Nothing good will come out of artists treating the album process like videogame DLC and releasing half-assed unfinished rushed product only to tinker like george lucas and release updated versions

I'm really wondering if he got it :patrice:
This is music, you can do what you want, and you never know the outcome. If all the greats thought like you, we would never even have rap music because the artist who came before rap wouldn't even be around. It was the ones who tried different things that changed things. What you know as the music business, wasn't always like this. Things is changing for the better, and you don't even see it. You sound like a label executive. BUT, do you!

So you're saying you think its good for us as consumers for someone to put out a half-assed unfinished product and charge $20 and have it exclusive on a streaming music service?

No, what I'm saying is, this is HIS way of doing things. Yeah, it's different, but people obviously like it, you just don't. I'm sure there are more like you, but the point is, Kanye just needs to make money to pay back debts, and being popular from putting out a product that can easily be gotten, he just accomplished his goal. He can charge much more from his concerts. I just think he better do something else for his next project because I have a feeling "the music" is going to be what it's about, not all the theatrics that is going on in music now. He needs to try to make a new sound that hasn't been done yet. It will forever cement him in the "Michael jackson" category. I was watching a doc on "Daft Punk" and they did things differently, and stayed proving people wrong, because no one knew how their shyt would do from being so different.

You see it's the labels who was all about the album sells because that's how they ate. The artist just needed it for promotion to go to the concerts. The interent changed the game, and no one saw it coming:whoo:

Dumb fools even tried to stomp it out:why: These labels are some of the dumbest nikkas around:pachaha:

Before I tunes came out, the "$.99" model was done in 2000, but the industry didn't take it because they wanted it done the old way, so they can eat off of everyone by over charging, and doing backdoor bootlegging. CLOWNS!

He really didn't though. Thats why he wants to sue torrent websites :mjlol:

People who may have bought it didn't wanna spend $20 plus his website crashed and no one wants to join tidal so he lost out on all that potential itunes and play store money

That's your perception. Again, as long as he makes that profit back, he's good with his partners. It's his music that will suffer, if he doesn't switch it up. Only a few will make it by next year when the changing of the guards will happen. I can see the fall happening right now. The music of this society will change just from the music sound that is popular now, is about to die out.

It's too late now. Tidal ruined it. Just like they messed up with Rih, but luckily rih was smart and still got paid b/c of samsung. Kanye is missing out on a lot of money and he really seemed to need it since he loss 53million. His main way to earn anymoney rn was through his music. I don't think he has any endorsment deals and probably won't be getting any anytime soon since the taylor swift thing. By the time his album gets on itunes and in stores where more people can get it, it'll be too late. Everyone will have gotten it illegally by then. It'll probably be on youtube already as well. Rih's whole anti is on there.

Tidal needs to learn that exclusives will not work. They should know that by now. The artists involved are just missing out on money. I hope that Cole doesn't have to release his next work on there exclusively, I know he won't have to if it's a collab with kendrick.

They better release beyonce's album as an exclusive as well. If she doesn't, it'll be clear that it's sabatoge. Maybe after her album doesn't do well, they'll stop trying with the exclusives. If she does do it as an exclusive, it gives her an excuse to try new things, I guess, like the crappy lyrics with beats to dance to. Similar to formation.

Anyway. Tidal sucks, as usual :queen:

People need to stop making streaming services b/c obviously, everyone is ok with spotify. What they need to do is figure out how to get paid more for streaming. They should also figure out how to stop or slow down people from stealing it. Getting more money from streaming seems much easier though.

lol.... never heard so much crap in my life.....

so should people stop making cellphoines because we have Iphones

should people stop making cars because we have Ford

dummy...

its like white people get extra heated whenever Tidal is mentioned ...lol it aint going anywhere

look at Kanyes last album numbers ....... on a million records sold most artists wont see a penny in royalties .... most artists are only caking off publishing, tour. merchandising etc.... but not royalties

You are the only dummy I see here. Maybe you and tidal/jayz should enroll in some marketing/business classes. Then come back and read this to see where you and tidal fcked up. :queen:

People can make whatever they want, that doesn't mean it will be successful and profitable. That phone would have to be able to do some amazing things that are not in any other phone. It would have to look great as well. It would need something to help it seem "cool" b/c rn majority of people are #teamiphone #teamandroid (galaxy). Anyone with anything other than that is considered an outcast. If not, It wouldn't be smart/wise/profitable to start a new phone brand since apple and samsung are dominating. You could focus on affordablility, but that would be pointless as well b/c there are already so many other phones out there that are much cheaper. No one wants or needs a new phone company.

Just to be clear, since you seem not to know/understand what you're talking about. Samsung or apple coming out with a new phone is not the same thing as someone coming out now while they are dominating and starting something new, from the ground up, while it is not needed or wanted. Especially if it isn't offering anything new/different.

I don't know much about cars, but I'm pretty sure a new brand of cars would be pointless unless they are offering something/new different. The first line of flying cars? Sure that would do well. Coming out with cars that are no different than any other car, right now would be pointles. There are already so many different well known brands. Someone trying to compete with "the big three" in the u.s. (ford, general motors, chrystler) probably wouldn't do so well. People already know and trust those 3. They've been around since the early 1900s

its like white people get extra heated whenever Tidal is mentioned ...lol it aint going anywhere

You are right, tidal hasn't been getting anywhere and will never get/go anywhere. No one wants it. :mjlol:

Exlcusives and free trials don't work. People will sign up to the the exclusive, use that free trial, cancel, and then sign up again when the next exclusive comes out. Why do you think tidal was stealing from people lol. Jayz will eventually (after many more tidal flops/fails) sale it when he isn't too prideful enough to take his L and move on.

Spotify has been out since 2006. These new streaming services came out in what, 2015? Everyone who was interested in streaming music is already with spotify. There is nothing different about tidal other than the little "exclusive" videos and songs, but nothing is really exclusive on the internet. Anything can be stolen. They should know this by now that people steal music/music videos, so exclusives would never work. The only thing they have to work with is the concerts, but as I have already stated, people can sign up around the time for free, then cancel and sign up again for the next "exclusive. Tidal is not cheaper than the others and it does basically the same thing or less. It has nothing to set it apart from the other services. If people switch over they will have to give up their playlists or whatever that they've had for years now. They have no reason to switch over.

Apple has stuff to work with though since they have iphones and itunes. They have a much better chance if they can use iphones/itunes somehow to help their streaming services.

There are terms for most of the stuff that I said, but I didn't used them b/c then you'd probably be googling. Most of this is common sense (to me at least), but if you're having troubles with it like you seem to be since you called me a dummy when you are the one who doesn't know what you're talking about, then maybe you should enroll in some marketing/business classes as I suggested earlier.

Yesus was his worst album ever. I don't even think it went platinum until the RIAA redid their certifications. Kanye has so many writers and usues so many samples that he barely gets anything from it. The tours are the only thing he has & idk if those do well. I know last time he had good opening acts. Idk about this one.
