ta nehisi coates shytted on pac after he died in the washington city paper. dream hampton, said he couldnt rap. elliot wilsons wife, who knew pac and wrote for vibe or some oakland paper, she didnt mourn pac right, was critical after he died in an article. im telling you, pac was not revered by the critical extablishment. and none of them mourned his death. they thought he was a no good black ( probably nig with the er). i seen cacs that praised pac presence in straight outta compton yet i remember those very same cacs, shytting on pac when he was alive. the dude name is richard roeper. film critic, remember an opinion column he wrote on pac when he was alive. man, pac was hated in his time for speaking the truth. just cause it didnt come in a neatly packaged “respectable” person, they dismissed it. lowkey, pac image back then was like azelaia banks now, yeah she bring in knowledge now and again, but the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. me? i loved pac the most next to cube. natural charisma. music pulled you in. only his fans were true beilievers, but it has to be said, pac was not loved by the music or rap critics.

its only now everyone is seeing what we lost.

ps, can we get the name of this clueless cac who wrote this reviews? i cant see his or her name printed. probably hiding.
I said it before but if your old enough to remember it was a point in time where it wasnt good to give Pac props and his image was on the way to being black balled from hip hop he was thought of as a trouble maker, it was all about biggie being the greatest and Pac being the boogyman...he had no one to campaign for him in the hip hop mainstream, while Biggie had damn near every magazine,DJ, etc going hard for him..it wasnt til Changes and the greatest hits cd dropped that he started to get his props post death..

The love that Pac gets is the most genuine love any rap artist has ever gotten because there was no self campaigning (Jay), there was no machine behind it (big with puff and bad boy), there was no white boy hipster shyt behind it (nas/wu)

Just genuine fukking love

The 6
Dream was closer to Big and Puff than she was to Tupac. When they fell out, she rolled with them.

Although i disagree with the reviews....you have to had been there during that time ....2Pac only had a two yr run while alive he was mostly a b list rapper who made headlines for things other than rap. It was more of "uh ohh what this nikka done did now " when u heard about Pac. DEATHROW/ interscope saw the $$$ in the controversy and the rest is history. Now ppl elevate him to god status cause he did die on top.

Lies.
