And a lot of posters on here approach these lists with "he produced some of my favorite songs" mentality, when there's a lot more to being a GOAT. And yes, "recency" plays a part of time. "All time" also includes the present, does it not? It's a look at a producers body of work and how it impacted, influenced, shaped and reshaped the sound of the genre. Their work should be cross-generational meaning it spans generations to where people both young and old know the work even if they don't know name. T-Mix and Legendary Traxter have produced a lot of songs that I love, but I don't expect to see those names on a Top 25 list because they are wildly underrated and rarely are mentioned in these kinds of discussions even though they produced legendary songs (no pun).

And it is why Timbaland and Dre responded to him when he called them out in The Source. He was calling them out talking about how nobody mentions his name next to theirs when he's the only one that can go in the studio and walk out with a hit by himself.
these lists are always terrible.While I think ALC is Top 25, I do find it funny that people were saying it was just Nas stans that had Hitboy over ALC and that there was no way anybody outside of Nas stans on the Booth that would put Hit over ALC.
Most avid rap listeners are going to put ALC over Hit Boy, Bilboard are the same people who didn’t put KD3 in top albums list....
