In this scenario, we are talking about a grown man in his 40s. He already made his money, already had his kids (and even a grandkid), so there's not really any incentive for him to get married. When you have already accomplished a lot of major LIFE milestones (career success, kids) its very hard to justify such a life changing decision.
Marriage is a business, and one of those decisions that has to make sense IMO.

To each's own. I can't see how fearing to be in a relationship with a woman leads to anything but a sad life but it appears I'm in the minority. It is what it is.
