Too many foundations to start, infrastructures to build, things to explore to be bored. Money doesn't change you, just magnifies the person that you were when poor. A broke a$$hole will be a rich a$$hole. A broke person who shares a is usually generous when they acquire more. Dude sounds like he was depressed and unfulfilled being average and now it's magnified.
If he is like a lot of rich dudes who consider foreplay as putting out hot cigarettes on bare buttocks or suspending chicks with chained wrists in soundproof room while leather hooded; I can understand why they are intimidated. Some of those cats are nuts!

Seriously though, if I was a billionaire I'd just go to school for fun. Get a degree in anything I'm interested in. Shyt, why not? With all your basic needs met, you have all the time in the world to learn whatever you want. The reason most people can't do this is because they have to worry about supporting themselves. Being already rich takes away all that stress and lets you focus entirely on your studies. You will never get bored learning new stuff because it's a never-ending goal.
If I had that kind of money fall into my lap....
Id pay off all my debts
The vast majority of older acquaintences I would give a large enough lump sum so they can just retire
For close friends some and coworkers with young families or people I know who have bee shat on in life id give them a large enough lump sum that they could pay off their home mortgage their car loan their student loan and give them enough money for their childrens college fund.....and a nice amount for a vacstion.
Id open up a community garden. We have one here but its shytty. Id travel the world and grow a lot of exotic fruits and shyt and give them away to families that need it.
I would be doing so much travelling that I probably wouldnt need a house in my name. With that kind of money theres really no reason to 'settle down'
Id start out traveling and living in first world countries and the once I got more experienced and a bit more courage id go to shyttier more dangerous countries just to see what its like.
Once I get back state side id randomly go into grocery stores and gas stations and offer to pay random peoples gas and groceries for the month. In fact id tell them that they have no spending limit as long as theyre buying healthy foods and not processed boxed garbage.
Id learn how to swim id learn how to fly a plane id wing glide in the swiss alps and skydive and ride hot air balloons. Id learn how to scubadive and surf and sail a boat. Id get a sick ass physique by training hardcore and yeah id start taking a physiologically sound dose of steroids so that I can achieve my desired physique. Id randomly stop people and hand them envelopes of cash id tip 1000% at restaurants. Id pay off the loans of locally owned businesses
And thats only the tip of the iceberg for me

We're all working to become rich thats ALOT of peoples goal in life... And this fool is unhappy when he made it... 2.5Billy and still unhappy...
More than anything, his story along with the stories of a lot of other people who came into money, tells us that working to have a ton of money may not be everything it is cracked up to be.

Dude makes video games for a living. That's his passion and that's what drove him and give him a purpose in life. Now that it's gone he's pretty much lost. Telling him to travel the world and fukk hoes isn't really the same.
Saying that though why hasn't he invested his money in another gaming venture. He can easily afford to open his own gaming studio and get back to doing what he loves.
He doesn't want the pressure of trying to make another Hit like Minecraft. He stopped working on MC and started developing a FPS and was being ridiculed on YouTube about it. So he stopped all together .

He sold mojang because he didn't want to deal with the pressure. Any game he develops will be compared to Minecraft and Minecraft sales.

And what happens when some of your family blow through that money and come back asking for more? They know you have more than enough money you could ever spend. So do you give it to them again or let them hate you ?
Also how do yall know some of his friends don't have families? His best friend was part owner of the company and came out with around 400 million. But he's also married with kids .
I have heard is complaint by other wealthy people before, he needs to finding things that provide meaning to him and focus on that. Paying for friends to roll with me
