The ending soured many on the entire trilogy.Wasn't Mass Effect 3 received well? I thought the only thing people hated was the ending
They didn't gut anything. Bioware is a huge team that has worked on multiple projects before. They had 5 years and 200 people working on the game. They gutted a significant (& talented) portion of the Bioware team to work on Star Wars while leaving the less capable members to produce a AAA title. Consequently, we get a flawed but enjoyable game in return.
Why do y'all expect publishers should keep pumping money into teams taking too long to complete games? Not to mention, they could have delayed the game to fix the problems instead of pushing it out to get it before the fiscal year ends.
Depends on the game. Why do y'all expect publishers should keep pumping money into teams taking too long to complete games?
5 years is no rush. A delay at that point probably would have made a small impact, unless you are talking about giving them 2-3 more years.
I think they put the bullet in Respawn's head and have already kicked them in. Respawn survived, but is suffering from blood loss at this point.
You're to easily Influenced.Depends on the game.
Naughty dog said the delay if the last of us which was like 6 weeks made all the difference in the world.
A lot of the bad press of this game is because it was simply unpolished and had bugs and glitches, not because of the gameplay itself.
A delay of a few months would have probably made a huge difference but fans will never know.
After all those gifs came out my interest in the game went to 0.
This game was a really flawed average game. Combat in it was phenomenal but the narrative and the choice system was trash to average.
Never felt like I was making my own choices or shaping Ryder to be me inside the universe rather I was just guiding a character through a story. Which isn't bad, but isn't what Mass Effect about. The dialogue choices never felt like exactly what I wanted to say, and all of them said the same thing, just with a different tone.
The game defining narrative choices felt limited and like that had little impact to the entire story because they i didn't really notice how they changed anything.
Just Small choices littered throughout the game that give you the illusion of choice when you're not really doing anything Significant you the main story or the surrounding universe.
- No saving Ashley or Kaiden moment,
- no deciding whether an entire infected settlement gets to live or die by your hands moment
- No deciding if an entire race of bugs will be wiped out type moment
Even the main antagonist fell flat. Entire game I'm thinking, the Kett are cute but they're just the stepping stone to the bigger enemy right? That's why I stopped playing. Game felt really flat. The magic wasn't there![]()
Why is it EAs fault that bioware spent all that time making a trash ass game and fukking up the franchise?
EA moved Mass Effect to Bioware Montreal, a studio that only worked on Mass Effect 2 & 3 DLC & multiplayer. Why is it EAs fault that bioware spent all that time making a trash ass game and fukking up the franchise?
