Half black and Puerto Rican here. Mom is black, pops is Puerto Rican. In the states people look at me as Spanish. Overseas they say I'm black. Im from Harlem and my strength is equally rooted in my make up. I feel blessed to be both, because both have gone through enough shyt to prepare me for life's ups and downs! Salute to the mutts :salute:

Rican side is darker Taino/African from my moms ancestry test so I was never really confused about shyt.

Never had a problem with my identity at all. Always considered myself black first.

It's rarely, if ever, beneficial to identify as Black; but sometimes a situation may call for it.
How do you feel about that? What do you think about the black people who can't switch sides when convenient? You think its just tough luck, or do you actually give af about people who are fully black?
