It's typical Christian crap "oh poor me good Christian man, they are impending on my religious right to hatred" and playing down the civil right aspect to gay marriage. I don't know how much Same Love makes the black civil rights comparison but there's obviously aspects that are similar.

We all know we have limits in this country in regards to the issue of freedom

What am i getting at??? We restrict the freedoms in many other aspects in this country but we see it as justifiable but with this issue it seems problematic, so much so that if u voice opinion against such issue u are portrayed as a hindrance to the country and ignorant and that wouldnt be so bad, but you will also suffer real consequences for such opinions.

Do you really need a history lesson on the problematic, "justifiable" denials and restrictions of freedom in this country?

A 17 year old doesnt have the freedom to be with a lover of 40 Ofc not without its reasons
The incarcerated dnt have the freedom to.....well its obvious they dnt have the freedom to do alot of things....again not without its reasons
Blood sister and brother dnt have the freedom to get married....Ofc not without its reasons
Gays have many freedoms but what they are asking for is freedoms without criticism or ridicule and thats where our problem comes in

Gays want not the freedom they want to be recognized and regarded as a married couple. Sure gays have the freedom to be together, love each other and do whatever vile fakkit acts they wanna do with each other but thats not where it stops...they want an overall acceptance for their sexual lifestyle.

Well....as for me I know what I know

I see homosexuality the way I see it
And I see marriage the way I see it
And I want to preserve my right to exclaim that belief in this country and not this whole "religious ppl should keep their religion in the church and keep their philosophies away from the public cuz it offends them" thing they keep tryna pass through the Supreme Court

While i'm sure gay people would prefer their freedom sans ridicule and criticism, you can't legislate that.

Marriage on the other hand...

is not a religious institution. Its merely about property rights and contracts.

And the acceptance is a social issue, women getting the right to vote doesn't change the social climate of sexism or the aspects of the same that lie outside of legality.
