knew it'd be real estate. but you still need capital to cop 1 property to get started. black folks, for the most part, dont have enough or aren't willing to take the risk when they do
residential is more of a pain in the ass than commercial. my goal is to hopefully get 1 or 2 commercial properties by end of the decade

Most likely he bought a house that was already ready to move in and the $2500 was probably just to update the paint and carpet

My boy did this with two houses. He just got mail sent to the properties that were abandoned. Paid the back taxes on them, a few thousand, and lived in the 1st one while he fixed it up.
