Such a weird country. Whatever they're into, they immerse themselves in it. You can definitely see it in their anime. Ippo, Slam Dunk, etc, they go so deep in the subject matter, they study the people and emulate their techniques to perfect the craft.

I just started watching Ippo and as a boxing fan I was impressed. The detail is definitely there.

I went there in 2014, met a girl there and ended up stayiing with her for like a week and a half. She took me to
- A black owned bar (owner was from the U.S. and stayed there after doing army time there and stressed he had no desire to move back to the U.S.) ...so I'm not surprised at a Black church out there, along with the Africans that set up shop out there.
- A Jazz club
- A Salsa club
- A baseball game
- Nishi-Azabu | 権八 GONPACHI｜和食レストラン - The restaurant from the big fighting scene in "Kill Bill"
- Was also the first time I saw and Asian bush, I'll never forget how straight her hair was down there.

She lived in a studio apt and I will never forget how efficient her place was. It was small but everything flowed in it usage wise.

That trip totally changed the way I viewed the usage of space and our society. I Be trying to explain this(aside from the hooking up and staying with a chik) to my wife but she doesn't get it. I also went out there blindly after a break up. I didn't want to watch anything about it ahead of time, as I like to show up to places fully surprised to fully enjoy it.
