Supreme court picks serve indefinitely, so what exactly do you mean by game plan? He asked RBG to step down and she refused. Nominated Garland but Republicans refused to hold hearings during the election year. He wasn't ignorant like you’re making him out to be, and he wasnt gaming for another democratic presidency to follow him.

Also the President isn't an all mighty ruler and has limited power due to congress/senate. Obama had limited options.
Dude is one of those dudes who argue just to argue. We have a few of them here.

They had two Obama terms to do something about it, I’m not trying to hear how it’s anybody else but they faults on the courts situation

Matter of fact why did they even think they was going to get three straight dem terms for president

Do something about what? RBG refused to resign, and she was a judge, not a member of the Democratic establishment. Nobody had any control of her so that's on her head. Exactly what did you expect Obama to do during his terms that would have prevented right-wing judges from doing this later? No bill he passed would have made a difference because "Unconsitutional" rulings override all legislation.

Plus, even RBG is just one judge and they won that case 6-3.

Perfect example of Both Sides. One white supremacist party took it away (only race based Affirmative action), the other white supremacist party did nothing to stop it. :mjpls:

#BothSides, friends. :sas1:

Democrats protected Affirmative action for 58 years. An extreme right-wing Supreme Court finally took it away against strong Democratic objections and Democrats carried the legal case to protect it.....but what, specifically, would you have wanted the Democrats to do more than they did?

I'm not worried, democrats have a plan to reverse all of this and save the day:blessed:

Their plan has been open and obvious. The three oldest judges right now are all Republican-appointed. Vote for Democratic presidents/senators until at least 2 of those 3 judges are gone. Then a 5-4 liberal majority could reverse this.

[EDIT - notice that Rakim Allah constantly attacks Democrats and carries water for Republicans even when the Republicans are the ones doing the evil, but when asked what the Democrats should have done differently, he posts a laughing emoji but can't answer the question.

Obvious agents stay obvious.]

Grok

Discarded. This bytch is relying on a chat bot to give her facts and not verifying it separately with more concrete data.
I mean the numbers did say they were from M.I.T themselves. The > 100% thing I don’t know, maybe ask M.I.T themselves to explain it.

Main thing is Asians knew what they were doing when they pushed so hard for it. They basically knew they had top grades from the top schools, so if they make it merit-based they’ll take more admission spots.

Her stats don't match what is mentioned in the Bloomberg article. Her grok response is not even getting the stated data in the article correct.

The university said Wednesday the class of 2028 is 5% Black, down from an average of 13% in recent years. The share of Hispanic students in the class is 11%, down from 15%, MIT said.

Yet what she posted says a drop of 10% down to 5% which would mean the original percentage would be 15 percent.

I can't see the whole bloomberg article because of a pay wall but the above was from the visible beginning of the article.

At this point those details are just the forest for the trees I’m afraid.

damn I was wrong. Was naive enough to believe the universities would do the right thing and use something other than race, like extracurricular activities, to keep the black number up
MIT is a little more complicated but Harvard and Columbia have changed their admittance question to help identify race so they can keep their Black numbers up.

Have the DNC speakers/potential cabinet said anything specifically about restoring DEI/Affirmative Action to elevate black people and solidify gains the same way they talk about abortion rights?

Or is that still a bad word because we don't want to do anything that implies the most vulnerable race in the US other than Native Americans will receive a hand up?

Nice flip.

But the reality is that MIT opens a lot more doors than hbcus. It is what it is and this will have a knock on effect of black representation in the c suites of silicon valley.

LoL

You are a Kamala Harris supporter and you also say she is a "Black" and she went to an HBCU. Are you saying that Kamala Harris going to an HBCU did not open up doors for her? She would have been more successful if she went to MIT?

I will definitely try.

Every single Kamala thread seems to devolve into "is she black?"/FBA Discussion.

Good lord, You're pretty much proving me right with the post you quoted from me lol

"Every single Kamala thread seems to devolve into "is she black?"/FBA Discussion."

Hell, this isn't even a kamala thread but you're still shining the bat signal for your crew.

Are you saying that Kamala Harris going to an HBCU did not open up doors for her? She would have been more successful if she went to MIT?

This is cherry picking.

Startups love having MIT educated engineers as founders because it appeals to angel investors. A degree from Hampton University doesn't hold the same weight.
