I know, thats why I made sure I said his stand up- not his show.

And you know what people. Go & explain that scenario to your hood friends & see how they react. They typically don't go for that

Patrice Oneal is the GOAT
Katt Williams was funny for the first year..
Richard Pryor..never really seen him and the little bit I saw he wasn't funny..
David Chappele is kinda funny

Comedies make fun of everyday generalizations. Race relations has always been a topic of discussion.
Comedians pretty much talk about the same shyt. It's how you formulate and present the material though.

There are funny comedians that can still create funny jokes out of the typical, but that why I give someone like Kevin Hart, Sinbad, or similar black comedians props. They make ANYTHING funny..

Sinbad with the porchlight a jokes were hilarious. Kevin Hart with his dad getting knocked out and change flying out of his pockets had me rolling


The only other comedians right now I could give so much props to are Chapelle and the late Patrice Oneal.. With Patrice being my favorite comedian ever imo because he still spoke on race relations But he was real on so much more shyt

There are many conscious and diverse black comics

You got dudes like Chris Rock, Chappelle, Eddie Griffith and tons of new guys like Hannibal Burress, Michael Che, etc.

Martin Lawrence's show is a staple in the sitcom scene. His stand up was horrible to me

Chris Rock has his moments

I gotta re-listen to Patrice's material because you guys make him out to be prolific

The thing you have to realize with Pryor is he was the first nikka doing the type of comedy he was doing in his time. The juvenile, potty mouth thing was revolutionary at the time.

Somebody could probably compare him to some important 80's rapper that changed the course of hip hop
