it's nothing when you making $106,000 without a college degree. we get paid up here.

130 in Atlanta is better though :heh:

You in security Breh? I got my CISSP a while back and been eating real good. Got my CCNP Sec in Feb and working on my CCIE right now :obama:

information technology (not help desk)/information assurance. you can get one or two certs (though the big ones like CISSP aren't a cake walk) and you're in there.

CISSP wasn't that hard. By the shon Harris book, read, pass. The hard part was waiting for your results to come back. shyt had me feeling like :sadcam:

ATL, mecca for gay men and lack of diversity. I will keep my ass in DC where there is diversity, beautiful women of varying races and educated people.

Fault me for not wanting to live in the hood :yeshrug:

Cheap and bowie dont go together bruh . Do you even live out here :mjpls:

If you're paying a 1000 for suitland you lost smh. You could live in a decent 1 bedroom in laurel for that much or maybe even largo.

ATL don't have jobs stop faking .

My ex moved down here after grad school because she couldnt find a job in atl.

She loved the scene in atl but there weren't enough jobs.

Everyone knows you can move to the dmv and make it.
Nope from Canada, but you have a great city there sir.

DC all day.

More successful middle class of AA.

Pretty much every chick I meet has one degree, a lot of them have 2 or 3.

The one thing Atlanta has over DC is pretty girls. DC, it's rare to see a dime chick just walking down the street during lunch or jogging at the gym in the AM.

However, outside of that, there is nothing that ATL can provide to a young male trying to come up.

Entrepreneurs may like it because it's an easy come up in ATL where you have a concentrated population, a lot of hard workers who may not be as educated, and large amounts of disposable income. DC is more networking/education/long term growth

are you kidding?

:why: You clearly meant "all" of East Atlanta though even if you didn't mean all of Atlanta. A very big portion of East Atlanta is NOT gentrified at all and probably will never be gentrified if it hasn't been done yet. The portion of East Atlanta that is gentrified is the same portion that was gentrified 5 years ago, so your point is still moot. Nothing has changed.

Gentrification happens in EVERY major city, we know that. So you're just saying the obvious. You just need not to speak on areas you know nothing about because the neighborhood you mentioned is still the same as it was +5/+10 years ago and will probably never change.

What portion of "take a jog through east atlanta" infers that the entire area has gentrified, other than changes in the demographics of the neighborhood? I find it funny you know what I meant, but w/o me saying it. :childplease:

Eh, so there aren't areas within east atlanta that haven't gentrified? But you say there are areas that have gentrified but not really (which the census says otherwise). Make up your mind, instead of bsing both ways, in which you're just arguing for the sake of it.

Secondly, the poster quoted in my original statement said that Blacks getting moved up out of DC, which I responed to. So you latter statement has no bearing what so ever since the poster I quoted stated that Blacks getting moved up out is somehow limited to only Washington D.C in a D.C/Atlanta comparison thread. So I think that issue would be relevant to the topic of " Black Excellence Washington D.C vs Atlanta ":yeshrug:

Damn, I can't lie...this a touuuuuugh call here. I got love for both cities, and I'm originally from Jersey anyway so I can at least LOOk at both impartially.

I'd say if all things were equal, like for instance, you got ya paper up to par, and fully educated, single man. DC got it by a hair. It's just the "city" atomosphere or that "up north" feel if you get what I mean. Plus the proximity to major east coast points gives it the edge.

hard decision though

Maybe "take a jog through *this certain portion* East Atlanta" would have better portrayed your thoughts.

Sure bro. Whatever. You know east Atlanta better than me. Even though I my family lived there for a good portion of my life, even though many of my friends are from there, and even though I spend a good portion of my time there. You definitely know east Atlanta better than me and a paper census provides you with all of the conclusive evidence needed even though you more than likely have never seen all of east Atlanta and because we know that 100% of people fill out census information surveys, always. Logically, you make so much sense. You have seen all the neighborhoods supposedly change first hand through the years, so you are assured that you are correct.

And you are also correct in your comparison of people being moved out of a city. Yes. Because when someone says "Blacks are being moved out of D.C." they mean the complete city of D.C. and your comparison with East Atlanta is very congruent in that portions of cities should be compared to whole cities.
:russ: You look like an idiot. Have you even seen the gentrification happening in D.C. (personally) to be able to compare to EAST Atlanta? Or are you just typing for the hell of it?

Tell me bruh, what race of people live on side of Moreland Ave south of I-20 since you know so much? :mjpls:

nikka that's what I like most about Atlanta. Why the fukk would I willingly want to hang around cacs when I can be around my own people? I stay seeing nikkas pushing lambos, S550s, and bentleys out here. Tons of affluent black suburbs, and everywhere I go see black people with the :jawalrus: look on their face.

and that means what??them nikkas is rich??

These 'Black Excellence' threads are a joke and you nikkas are stupid as fukk
