Have you discussed street harassment with them? If so what was their response?
They've started a "I have the right" campaign letting women know they have the right to live their life w/o the fear of being attacked or harassed, fundraisers to do outreach education, literature on sexual assault/harassment. It's still in the early stages so we don't know yet what's most effective

I could be anti-woman like everyone else here and triple the amount of daps I'd net. Tap dancing for the minority doesn't pay as well as tap dancing for Mr. Charlie.

Have it your way breh, my foot will remain on your neck until I see some action in my rep box :manny:

if you don't think that speaking to women should be illegal then why is it so hard for you to condemn the movement and what they're trying to do?
I never once agreed w/ the movement. My opinion on harassment is independent from that propaganda bullshyt. I simply said harassment needs to stop. I don't know how much more clear I can make it.

Can you send me a link to the campaign? A newletter, facebook post, blog, website, anything?

Thanks

Are you involved in any community meetings in the city you live? Because based on y'all nikkas responses it seems like you don't even know whats going on in your own community and the issues that need to be resolved.

The men in the part of Atlanta I live organized community meetings to address the problems we have. Every Wednesday the men meet and we started inviting the women to have their own meetings on Thursdays. We're organizing neighborhood watch meetings right now and we've already started teaching various classes. We actually discuss with the women in our meetings the issues we have. I've already invited my girl to start going to the female meetings (she hasn't gone yet, but I'm on her ass about it ).

The idea that black men don't give a fukk about our women is straight bullshyt.
Black men I'm talking about don't give a fukk about themselves or other black men let alone black women. You're being purposely naive. Acting like our communities are filled with nikkas wearing dashikis and monacles if that were the case the problem wouldn't exist in the first place.

more money
What's disrespectful is you suggesting that women's issues are bullshyt because there are more serious issues out there.

It's disrespectful to suggest that women shouldn't be offended because you weren't trying to offend them "all I did was say she looks beautiful"

It's like white people who wear blackface and insist that they weren't doing it to be rude or disrespectful, it doesn't matter what your intent is, which is why my innocent greeting on the bread aisle could be taken as harassment.

Gtfoh with this sht. Trying to introduce yourself respectfully to someone isnt associated with years of institutionalised racism, race related media shaming and systematic oppression, wearing blackface is.

If someone is offended by black face id understand completely because of its origin, if someone is offended by someone trying to introducing themselves respectfully, id think theyre socially maladjusted because there is absolutely no reason to be.

So let me get this straight, there's been a steady decline in black male violence in our communities for the last two decades, but because it's not moving fast enough for you, that means that every other issue our community faces can never be solved?

Obviously you have 0 faith in the black leadership where you live. Have you considered become a leader in your community to attempt to address those concerns?
The idea that not killing your brothers and sisters is such a simple one I wouldn't even know how to begin to convey it to another person. Really how do you sit someone down and explain to them killing bad safe neighborhoods good? Its such a simple concept that anybody with even a modicum of human intelligence should be able to grasp yet it consistently eludes these nikkas.

The comparison was to illustrate that whites feel like they're doing nothing wrong by dressing up in blackface because they didn't mean to insult or offend Black people just like street harassers don't intend to harass when they take it upon themselves to "compliment" women who are just trying to get to their destinations.

The idea you think the black community leaders are as you described is what let's me know you're not even involved in any community organizations. Half the dudes in the meetings with me are hood nikkas with gold in their mouths and tatoos. The 3 men who started our organization are barbers. You have organizations like the 100 black men (who have branches all over the country) who are comprised of engineers, entrepreneurs, doctors, and lawyers (I know this because I've been to there meetings and know these dudes).

Like I said, you obviously feel the black male leadership in your community is lacking. Are you willing to take on a leadership role to fix the problems that you see?

She's laughing because the shyt this guy is saying is absolutely laughable, he suggests he "knows men" and how we think only to seconds later presume to know what women want, and how they wouldn't mind the harassment if the men were attractive, he's the REAL c*nt.

Nah...She was acting a lil childish....I wouldn't say she was a c*nt tho....Her facial expressions were exaggerated too the point where it got hard to take her seriously
