I hear you, but you do know some of these feminists might think your introduction is harassment right?

Whether shes walking down the street or looking for bread, shes still doing something either way...feminists might start saying women cant even shop in peace without countless men like matt504 "harassing" them.

In fact all it would take is for the girl you spoke to at a bread aisle to have a hidden cam on her coat and for other men to have tried talking to her in the store during the day, and just like that you might fck around and find yourself in one of those viral anti harassment campaign videos.

The problem here is some feminist are conflating real issues (stalking, excessive violent physical abuse) with bullsht "issues" like respectfully being told that they look beautiful, being told good morning, or someone throwing them a tame complement, its disrespectful to the women out here suffering from real harassment imo.

What's disrespectful is you suggesting that women's issues are bullshyt because there are more serious issues out there.

It's disrespectful to suggest that women shouldn't be offended because you weren't trying to offend them "all I did was say she looks beautiful"

It's like white people who wear blackface and insist that they weren't doing it to be rude or disrespectful, it doesn't matter what your intent is, which is why my innocent greeting on the bread aisle could be taken as harassment.

One thing I speak to my bro about is the many coping mechanisms brothas have. I believe one of them is to have sex. Its one way to cope with being broke and not having much ambition or any goals to fight for, which many of our brothas happen to fit the profile.

We all know how brothas love to get high and drunk. Party. And spend what money they have on expensive products. Those are also coping mechanisms.

But sex is something I feel we dont really discuss in this manner. Most educated goal oriented brothas are not out here harrassing women. Its our defeated men who tend to shoot. Ok but again the amount of men you see a guy most of then don't say anything and how much of them are anything but a annoyance ? I don't think women should be threatened disrespected or fear for their lives but I don't really give a fukk about being annoyed by guys attempting to talk to them . How about women asking for seats on public transportation or wanting special privileges for just being women ? That annoys me .Societal issues are slippery slopes and the same ones complaining now will be Saying oh where are all the real men who pull out chairs etc

I don't see what chivalry has to do with catcalling. I'm talking specifically about catcalling and harassment, cuz those are real things. I've been followed, grabbed, cursed out, all kinds of shyt, and I know other women have been too. You don't experience it cuz you're a guy. I said this type of behavior needs to stop. Our women out here still attempting to protect Black men by not wanting legislation in spite of dealing with street harassment on a daily basis, but those same men have no solutions for them except, just deal with it and are wondering how organizations like ihollaback can swoop in to do what they've do with their campaign.
