Naw. I don't relate to them nikkas at alll let alone enough to engage in meaningful discourse. I don't understand why people join gangs and I don't want to reach out to people who terrorize the good people in my community. They have access to the same community college I attend the same financial aid I get. I don't care about people who don't care about themselves, who use the environment that they grew up in to justify acting like criminals. I go to school with Africans who grew up in environments that they wouldn't last a month in and they don't act like animals.

You're talking about the leadership I'm talking about the people they're trying to lead. The fact that these problems still exist is proof positive that the leaders are not reaching the people effectively.

It's called progress breh. We have less black make violence that we've had in decades. Our black on black violence has decreased at a greater rate than white on white violence. Does the problem exist? Of course it does. But to say they're not reaching the people effectively when the rates have been dropping consistently over the last 40 years disregards the progress of the men and women who've been working their asses of to address that problem.

And I never brought up black on black violence. You brought it up because you said since black on black violence still exists, then our women can't go to the men in our community to address these issues.

Because these nikkas don't want to be reached they want to listen to love no thotties while dancing with other nikkas smelling like cheesy feet, playing Madden and 2k. You bring up statistics of black on black violence decreasing but when people are in the streets there's no appreciable difference, people still feel unsafe. And women are still being harassed and in a lot of cases violently victimized.

What city do you live in and what is your involvement in addressing the issue of people still feeling unsafe and our women being violently victimized in your own community? Because it's one thing to say they don't want to be reached when you're out their attempting to reach them. It's another thing to assume what's going on in your community because you have no involvement in it.
