Even after Bernie had given reasons like 15 mins earlier as to why he is a better candidate than Hillary, they still act like a bunch of clapping seals with this love affair
something that really struck me was when they hit bernie with one of the hardest on the spot questions, ANY candidate has gotten this debate. in front of the nation

"what matters; do black lives matter? or do all lives matter?"

and bernie hit the country with "black lives matter"

what the fukk would hillarys answer have been? or anyone else? "all lives" :beli:

and im not saying that sentence accomplished anything, etc. but you know what i mean. and i was really like damn :ehh:

why doesnt bernie sanders have more black support? he isn't owned by the banks & is concerned with wealth inequality, he's addressed political disenfranchisement & prison reform, he wants to get big money out of politics...seems like theres more possibilities with him....plus he was heavily involved in civil rights & grew up in flatbush. he isn't some out of touch liberal

he seemed to have a heavy amount of latino & muslim supporters but has not connected with black voters at all

I'm telling you our people are just :snoop:

Not sure if you saw the forum but I thought it was the best he has done yet. But obviously Rachael decided to make Hillary go last so she was more remembered in the eyes of people as the last person. O Malley was actually the one who was most specific about his actual plans...him along with Bernie. All Hillary did was give some talking points and went on speaking long and threw in some lines about Black people and i bet tomorrow you gonna hear people say she won again...Yes i know its not a debate and its a forum but still.

It disgusts me man. People keep treating this as a damn popularity contest.

When she turned the question on black Americans into a point on white men committing suicide :dahell:

:laff: i forgot about that part breh. She is lucky this was a forum, imagine if she said that shyt in a live debate? She lucky she said this on a Friday night when nobody watches TV. She is too damn lucky fam. I got real caught off guard when i heard that cause it was out of left field.

:francis:

I've come to point where I just say African Americans deserve some of the shyt happening to them

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/there-are-21-black-owned-banks-in-america.317167/page-4#post-16092891

Fam just little by little we gotta fix this shyt. Not sure if you with one already but try to please sign up through one. I'm gonna keep on hoping something finally happens in 2016 before the election to finally wake us up and get off the Hillary bandwagon and actually LOOK at her positions on her issues and get off the popularity contest wave.

I wouldn't be surprised if I heard the Black people who say they aren't gonna vote for Bernie because they don't know "much about him" say some shyt like Sanders always looks serious and is grumpy and they all love Hillary cause she is so fun and has a great smile :francis:

In black folks eyes they only wanna think the racists and people who are not on their side are Republicans and in general candidates who have a serious face and don't "smile" with them. The Bill De Blasios they love them...all you gotta do is smile and Be a Democrat and they love you..and use talking points...

Breh i wish i was joking but you know we are capable of dumb shyt like that :francis: dont forget we been stanning a white guy from Arkansas for 25 years all cause he played the sax on Arsenio while wearing sunglasses and he "feels our pain" while locking up a generation of the men in our communities .

Can someone explain to me this undying master-slave bond that majority of black folks have with the Clintons.
:russ: me and my brothers just laughed 5 minutes straight at this.

we're watching the forum on msnbc wondering why all these old black folks in the crowd giving bernie the side eye....same people were howling at the moon like a loyal hound dog when hillary came out.

I swear every post in here is reading my mind. I'm proud of my coli brethren :to:

This is something i left out. I forget the exact moment but i remember at some point when Bernie was talking they just showed some random old black woman shaking her head and part of me is like :wtf: are you shaking your head for? I wish i remembered what he had said.

Don't get me wrong all cacs are untrustworthy but if they wanna use the excuse that Bernie doing civil rights work and working with Dr King is no reason to support him and doesn't necessarily mean anything especially since in his years as a Senator he brought no bill to the floor to support Black folks....then why don't they use the same rationale for Hillary :mindblown:

Those are all great points but give hillary the same scrutinity. The one thing Trump got right was when months back he clowned people for why they support Hillary and asked them to name one thing she did and they said "SHE"S A WOMAN..." :dead:

This bytch Rachael used the question about the South Carolina cop who beat that girl up in the classroom cause she knew that would help Hillary out tremendously and as you saw the Black folks in the audience went wild when Hillary gave an answer ...then she took advantage of the moment and brought "Black kids getting suspended more"....so in their minds when they go home they gonna say Hillary won once again...man this shyt just gets me so heated :snoop:

One thing i'm glad though is the young Black people they kept showing...they had poker faces which I'm proud of...I'm assuming they weren't falling for the shyt like their elders were or they were at least being more cautious with their thinking than them.

She won't get my vote under any circumstances
:rozayleansip:

As for the audience those are never real people.

And the questions have always been pre-picked. When someone gets smart you get a dont taze me bro situation, which happened under democrat Kerry. Or you get the old protest zones.

I'm guessing you just got done watching the response she got when she first walked out on the forum and was shaking hands right? Breh I don't know either, at this point i give up with our people sometimes and I'm lost myself.

Even after Bernie had given reasons like 15 mins earlier as to why he is a better candidate than Hillary, they still act like a bunch of clapping seals with this love affair. All Hillary and Bill gotta do is flash those legendary smiles they both have and Black folks lose their mind. They still obsessed with them since "everyone had a job when Clinton was president' . Who gives a shyt? If your grandchildren decades from now ask you about the Clintons and bring up the mass incarceration, what are we gonna answer "oh well ...well everyone had a job during those times...it was good times son...".

@Jello Biafra no he is right though. We know its the Democrats as a whole but its on a whole nother level with the Clintons. Look at Martin O Malley being in single digits even though he sounds extremely more progressive than Hillary...look at Bernie Sanders being so far behind when he is also more progressive than Hillary.

fam Black people just are naive about the Clintons
O'Malley has never been on a natonal stage though. Same for Bernie.
Black Dems support national Democrats. They did it for Gore and Kerry when they ran too. Clinton (both Bill and Hillary) get more love because they are seen as Dem winners because they were in the White House.
It is also why black folks love Joe Biden despite him actually being the guy who wrote all of the shytty legislation that led to the Clinton Crime Bill and who was doing dumb shyt with mandatory minimums and drug laws long before Bubba ever made it out of Arkansas.
It is why my mom and grandmother had pictures of JFK and RFK on the walls of their homes right next to MLK.
Focusing on the CLintons as if they get some special kind of love from black people that other Dems of the past who rose to the same heights does exactly what I said in my previous post: it overlooks the bigger question.

I agree, except who do we turn to. Racist republicans?
Nah bit I do think that black people tend to ignore the power they have within the Democratic Party as a voting bloc and if there were some way to take advantage of that power it would keep the Dems from taking black folks for granted as much as they tend to do.

That question isn't hard. Everybody and their mom knows that they would get backlash for saying "all lives matter"...it happened to Martin O'Malley. And say what you will about Hillary Clinton but she isn't some political novice who gets rattled or is unprepared. She would have come back with "black lives matter" and then started talking about meeting with the mothers of people who had been killed by cops as a way to take advantage of the question.
Hating her shouldn't make you underestimate her political savvy.

I thought O'Malley had the best showing last night. Hillary was Hillary and did nothing to damage her lead. I do think that Bernie came across more personable last night (shooting down that grumpy old man meme that started after the first debate) but he continues to still have issues when it comes to discussing his foreign policy.
