Anyway i always say what happened between black and whites then is mirrored to this day but it was at a greater potency back then...that is to say we fought as much as we could but eventually have come to grips with the sheer ruthless levels of brutality and violence with which cacs display. There's no doubt in my mind they would have wiped us out. Africans back then weren't moving as one people and so weren't equipped to deal with it. So at a certain point self-preservation kicks in and you have to bow down and respectfully fear them, just live another day to plot your revenge.

Why do people ignore the thousands of revolts in Boats?

Why do people ignore, the thousands of slaves killing slave traders, creating their own settlements(maroons) and fighting back?

Why do people ignore, the thousands of direct battles(From Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Barbados, Jamaica, Haiti to USA)?

Because...The main problem here, is that we are letting the same group that oppressed us, control and tell our history...

Funny, i was in my country, and went out with my cousins. We were talking about history and spoke about the revolution in Haiti.

One of my cousins, refused to accept what i was telling him about Haiti, Toussaint, Dessalines and etc. He was basically telling me "Nah, you are making things. They were too powerful, they even defeated the chinese multiple times. No way blacks could go against them..."

Black people need to understand the role of psychology in killing our self-esteem.

Deends on the time a slave was bought. Records show that durimg the mid 1800s a slave would cost up yo $20,000 and during the civil war it jumped to $140,000. Not many people were rich enough to risk that much money being lost. This js all just theory and im not saying it would have happened but the whole concept of slavery needs the slaves, why wouod u risk killing them? What would be the point of slavery in the first place?
