Thread is something else. :picard:
Google chick seems like she’s conflating race with socioeconomic status. Upper middle class culture = whiteness to her and obviously to many posters in this thread.

The topic at hand is white supremacy which is a doctrine bound to no class or race. If you’re a brotha working a trade and trying to get hired at Joe the Plumber, LLC you will face the same issue as a brotha trying to get hired at Billion Dollar Tech Corp, Inc. All you’re doing is confuscating the issue by pulling the Bernie Sanders Class > Race, card. You the nikka she talking about in the article, she probably ran into you in the office and was so disgusted that she ran to the nearest typewriter to speak on it.

That is not what this is about.
Actually it is. The person pushing this agenda is saying the candidates hired aren’t “black enough” :yeshrug: which I’m still not even sure what that means.
The brother or sister in job is still facing discrimination, injustices and prejudicial views regardless of their background. Just because they don’t meet her definition of “black” it’s a problem.

The media tries to sway black people and ease any criticism by pushing their black candidate to the front. To be like see we hire black people out company is diverse. But then if you research the black person their a republican
Read below
This is definitely prevalent in liberal circles where they have to pretend to like people other than white.

This got posted in a group I’m in. I wanted to reply but didn’t want my name attached to my thoughts.

But I agree. About 2/3 of the black people in these companies be so corny, they truly do try to hire black folks who make them comfortable, this also includes hiring gay black men. 3 of the 6.5 black men at my company are gay, and the black dude we just interviewed was a flaming fruitcake. But at least there are some black dudes, there in only one other black chick and she’s the office manager in NY...,smh

You're corny :hhh:

Got damn. No wonder I had no issues getting hired by Apple and CLEAR. They think I'm harmless. :mindblown:

You are so mentally compromised that you are blaming employment discrimination on African-Americans rather than the source, White America.

She is not saying the candidates are “not Black enough” she is saying that Google doesn’t hire African-Americans who are culturally African-American”. There’s a nuance there that you are not grasping because you’re most likely triggered by the assertion.

The issue here is that Google and corporate culture in general does not respect African-American culture and asks for us to divorce ourselves or it in the sake of “professionalism”.

This is such a corny take...folks too old for this.

Good on the journalist not poking into what she thinks a "blacker" Black person is.
Well we definitely know what a c00n is...changing how you talk and carry yourself to fit in with whites is always something worth poking into.

CACS juelzing in here but we all know what she means and it doesn't have anything to do with black people being a monolith :unimpressed:
I doubt any of these fools juelzing are really Black.

It's common sense that in the corporate world they hire the whitest Black People possible to not interrupt the status quo, especially in a "progressive":rudy:

place like silicon valley.

The Cosmos
Diddy, Jay and Dr Dre collectively could have started the Black Google equivalent or something years ago but instead chose to pop bottles and stunt on poor people

:manny:

Maybe invested in one but they don't really have the knowhow to start one. Was Google started by an ex drug dealer and music producer? :mjlol:

MOCO awl day
People wanna juelz around this point but it’s the truth. I see this every day in my line of work.

You hate to see it. I’m getting to the age now where I gotta call a spade a spade. If you c00ning you c00ning.

People know exactly what the writer is referring to in this article but will skirt around the point she’s trying to make.

And for what? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Hit dogs hollering maybe. ‍♀️

It's obvious who has worked in a corporate environment and who hasn't. Or you're one of the people she's talking about and don't want to admit it.

Right. Some of y'all have never worked in corporate America and it shows. That's not necessarily a bad thing but in this case you have to have worked in a certain setting to understand what she taking about.
