He didn't sound Canadian at all(much less like a Torontonian), he sounded like somewhere from the east coast US(NY/NJ/PA)whos been in Canada for a bit.

The way he's breaking up his speech you can tell he's trying to mask an accent.

It's not classism; most Nigerians I know wouldn't berate her because she's poor, rather because she's travelled all the way to Canada and gone through all of the extensive visa screening processes just to beg. She could've done that at home. In my culture, it's actually taboo to beg.

Are you sure the customs/cops were begging or "taking". They can pretty much ruin your day if you dont give them what they want.
No Nigerian would give money to a begging adult with no visible disability, so they send the poor kids out to beg.

it was always a horrible idea having that joint in the core of the city. All it ever did was serve as a base for all the young junkies and dealers. Those kids don't need to be in that environment. They need to be somewhere more quiet.
