What should late 20s and up brehs do if they go there dolo? Is it cool to go to clubs and other spots dolo like that? Tryna see how to move out there when it’s only you.

I remember you saying not to try to bag women on the street, so I’m guessing to use apps or clubs then?

Appreciate the advice breh.
I did 3.5 weeks solo out in Japan with minimal language skills.

I’d definitely learn the basics first before even thinking about getting girls, I don’t know what else has been said in this thread but please don’t go over there thinking you’ll bag just because you’re Western/black; although there are girls that will like that.

Everything else was calm solo. I had my girl with me for about 3 days with me and she was translating but other than that I was on my own. Went as far south as Miyajima Island and not further north than Tokyo. I think next time I’ll fly to Kyoto or Osaka and do more further south. Then drive or use the Shinkansen to get to the north.

It's exactly the same from here in LA to Japan: 11 hours 50 minutes going West.

Flight is long as hell, and I hate flying to be completely honest.
Ahh you fly backwards over the pacific. I honestly thought it was a much shorter distance

Yeah from LA, Japan is directly in the middle of both of us lol.

Funny how that works. As a kid, I always thought it was weird that we called them "Far East", when to me, they're West, and the UK is Far East lol

Coward. Too shook to respond to me personally but talking slick like a broad. You don't know why they was running but your inferiority complex got you crying like a girl
Literally the last time I’m responding to this loon before putting ignore.

But seriously please STFU. I was in the situation and I know exactly why they were running, just as the breh I posted knew and like I said that wasn’t my only thing xperience when I was there nor when I’ve been in Asia before

Im not here to prove shyt to you, and I don’t know if you think Japan is some mythical place where there are no issues for non-Japanese people.

So unless you’ve got something to add to the thread instead of derailing it…shut the fukk up

Advice for brehs thinking of coming out here besides making sure you learn the language

1. Don’t be fat. I don’t think it’s as much a problem as the Japanese diet and western African diet is so close so it’s good for our bodies but this is the one country you don’t want to be overweight in. A. It’s hot and humid as fukk so you’ll be sweating your ass off in the summer. 2. Everything is very small and depending where you are crowded.

2. Grooming. The bum hippie look don’t really play in Japan. Long hair, locks, beard doesn’t play well. Not saying no chicks like it but if you plan on being here long they like clean shaven. Also Japanese have sensitive noses so watch what cologne you wearing

3. Get your degree. You need a degree to get a visa unless you’re married to a Japanese already. Once you have your degree unless you are in IT an engineering the only job you will likely get is English teaching and even then it’s likely you’ll be doing part time because it’s really hard to get into the junior highs or international schools if your Japanese isn’t on point and you don’t have certain or experience. JET is the most preferable.

4. I would find a job in Japan before you leave so you can have your company set you up with a home and vehicle that way you don’t have to do it yourself and as gaijin know a lot of land lords don’t lease to foreigners.

5. If a Japanese girl come up speaking English to you don’t automatically assume she wants to fukk. Japanese are like Calculus majors that end up working at call centers. You don’t need English in Japan it’s one of the reasons they suck at learning it, so people that work hard to learn English really have nothing to show for it so they will use whatever opportunity to talk English to a foreigner. So if you end up having a convo in English with a Japanese and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere just know they might be practicing on you.

6. Don’t do dirt. Especially drugs. Don’t even think about it. You already stand out and you’ll get popped sooner or later. Somebody at the club offer you some just walk away don’t even talk to them. Japan doesn’t have innocent until proven guilty. They have guilty until proven guilty. Once a foreigner gets hemmed up in Japan your Japan privileges are over even if you’re innocent. Not only that you don’t have the right to a speedy trial. They’ll hold you in lock up under near torturous conditions until you confess. The US embassy at best will send you some legal documents so you know your rights but they’ll be like :hubie: your on your own.

7. Careful with the booze. Japanese drink to socialize. If you start working at a company they will likely make you drink. Not just have a few and chill but get hammered and have to be up to work 3 hours later. Learn to say no, I’ve seen too many foreigners age 20 years off that shyt.

8. Tokyo is a world city and it’s hard to beat but if you wanna be here long term I would suggest trying Inaka or “country side”. It’s severe population decline out here and they need English teachers and workers to replace the young people who move away. The Japanese country side is beautiful and nothing is really ever that far away.

@Toussaint you live in Japan?

Interesting what you say about the grooming as I have locs and a thick beard lol. But I’m not cursing for women.

You got me thinking of the most amazing dinner I had in Kyoto. Random restaurant, random ole. People who thought I was a musician and one girl was adamant I was in a music video.

Was such a vibe. Felt so scared not knowing the language to a decent level for conversation but their English was ok, and had my Mrs translate some stuff over messages.

Great food. Which I had take. Pictures with them

Been there once or twice, I still don't fukk with em, and never will. They idealize they're colonizing slave masters to the extent of finding fair skin the beauty standard.

I did what I wanted, because no one is going to try anything to an American, let alone my size. You earn my respect, not the other way around.

I kept my tight beard, and still got laid.

I never bowed as I bow to no man, and I ate while walking.

Was good times with the bird I was with, wouldn't really go back for any reason. France is much more beautiful.

Yeah, I’m currently in Aichi. What do women say about your beard to they like to touch it? Every Japanese girl I’ve been with has commented that don’t like it when I let my shyt grow out.

Kyoto I would suspect is very foreigner and English friendly because of the tourists though I’ve never had Japanese go out of their way to be impolite to me directly. Some pass aggressive stuff during work and work hours but chillin at a restaurant I’ve had more than a few buy me drinks

What’s hilarious is most Japanese are darker than a lot of brehs :russ: . I’m like you can try and cover your skin and wear your hair long as much as you want shawty. You still got that Pacific Islander in you.

i can feel you about walking and eating and drinking when you pretty much have to walk everywhere and it’s so damn hot out. Such a dumb cultural sensitivity that I’d be interested to where it came from.

Man I will say as a black man it's extremely weird to be walking somewhere at 2-3 in the a.m and people don't even pay you attention, no purse clinching or crossing the street.

One of the underrated parts about living in Japan is meeting white people here and them breaking down about how shytty they are treated and how they are second class citizens

Had a white guy professor with a damn phd who has been Japan for years break down in near tears about how he was shoved out of the way and called a dirty foreigner on the train. “He said it to my face”!” :damn:
