You could say hi to the cops and they will smile. You don't get that kind of treatment here in the USA.

Anyway, this topic will turn into folks making generalizations about the Japanese despite never leaving the US in their lives.
Cops are not there to be your friend. Also some of you nikkas need to go outside America and actually live there for a few years, not as some 2week tourist but actually live by looking for jobs, apartments, dating etc and actually tell me those countries are better than America.
Careful what you wish for

I swear to god ramen looks so good in videos compared to the instant ramen shyt I've eaten.

Trust me breh, you gotta experience the real shyt. Instant ramen is just a b*stardized version of the real deal. I’ve heard the ramen in Japan is stupid cheap too :ehh:

I used to live and work in Tokyo (for an Investment Bank).

There was an older brotha back then working for Merrill Lynch as well I think.

Most of the brehs were hustling.

any stories? sounds like that would be too lit

They lied to you, cuz.

nikka really in here talking like he been in japan when he hasn't

bottom line, brehs all across the internet got videos and testimony of them living it up in japan.. yet brehs who never been always come with negative assumptions like racial dynamics in japan are the same as america. most of these people (especially outside of the major cities) have extremely limited experience with black people in the first place.. their media isn't hyper-obsessed with black people and the zeitgeist is so drastically different.. people literally don't think the same since they've grown up in such a different environment. i'd wager that the majority of stereotypes of black americans are positive worldwide. of course that won't cure ugliness or a bad personality.

if you're losing here? you may do even worse there, or you may eat a bit more depending on your attitude.
if you're eating over here? you'll eat the same there.
and if you know the language fluently? you can find yourself multiple beautiful wives and good money.

What was the cause of the culture shock? Asking because I've never been to Japan and I am interested in visiting.
Like I watched and read, but the place was just weird. Everything there "just makes sense". We bought some juice boxes and they had some robotic pull out straw , I was :whoo::whoo:

There was also the "homogeneous" culture and this underlying pride of them being Japanese. Like you walk around and you could just feel it , like there is Japanese and everyone else. You could have come from Korea 2 generations ago, u aint Japanese ...it was pretty strange

The order of everything, me being a black man came with a lot of :mjpls: bad habits. Shouting to my homeboy, running across the street when the light was red. Eating in public. Quickly learned that all of that is a no no:mjpls:

Amazing place and the women :whoo::whoo::whoo: they love me long time

Any breh that been to Japan know what time it is there. Its not even worth going back and forth with somebody who CLEARLY never been there.

I lived there for 3 years. I got plenty friends who are like :scust: when I jokingly ask them are they coming back to the States. They aint never coming back. Hell and they shouldnt...for what??

Go there. Eat :eat:Enjoy the culture. Its simple.
Yeah after my mom and dad are dead, I'm probably going to work at a Japanese university and retire there. If it wasn't for my closeness to my mother and father or if they were more amenable to a permanent move, I would never have come back to the states.

Japan both economically, socially, environmentally and otherwise was lightyears ahead for me in quality of living.

I still keep in contact with my old school and my principal. They offer me administrative positions yearly and tryin to get me to apply for citizenship.

Dumb nikkahs have no idea why y’all think it’s “different”. Cacs claim AAs as their property in Asia. They claim to have civilized and domesticated you nikkahs. You taking this as a compliment, you have no clue what it really means. To them Trayvon Martin is African. To them Mike Brown is African. :mjlol:

Y’all really should travel and stop embarrassing the entire black collective or at least get some white friends who travel and not afraid to tell you the real deal.

When white people start patting you on the head, then it’s time to wake the fukk up cause you doing something wrong.
nikka what are you talking about :what:

Stop talking about shyt you know nothing about. When were you out here? Youve never been and if you have I want receipts, I can produce mine produce yours. aint no one claim me as their pet are you fukking crazy? cac expats know what time it is when we come around. when we're all abroad it goes by nationality than color, shyt goes right out the window, we stick together here because we an expat community in a foreign land. :what:

i'd wager that the majority of stereotypes of black americans are positive worldwide

They are not, but in the main Americans have a 'better' reputation then Africans, who are generally seen as being oppressed, poor and uneducated. Saying that, some people confuse and conflate the two. American stereotypes are related to being good at sports, entertainment and being cool. Trite and generally debilitating assumptions if your focus is on the more cerebral things in life.

They treat their workforce like slaves.

and they racist ass fukk towards non-Japanese

but shout out to the creators of the doc

It's called xenophobia, not racism. They're more xenophobic toward chinese than black people and they're the same race. :snoop:

Those nationalist japanese are considered 'nutters' in japan. no one takes them boys serious, it be like a group of 10 yelling out of bullhorns, I think theres a vice docu on it, check it out on youtube for lolz. :laff:
