again, xenophobia. Youre thinking of things with your western mind, but its just not how it works here.

think of it as living on another planet (thats exactly how it feels), or think of aliens coming here to earth, your country, and living amongst you. Lets say youre on a bus and you see a grey alien, would you sit next to him? fukk NO. youd be scared. some people will be curious and open minded and talk to the grey alien, but a lot of people would be scared. Lets say you have club, would you let that grey alien in? probably not if youre afraid of grey aliens. Its just hard to explain, but its not overt racism as in hatred, its more fear of the unknown. Its like going to some alien world and being confused theyre all staring, freaking out or wont let you into a place. Youd understand then. its the same thing, we live in a multicultural society, but not everyone does. Seeing something for the first time can be a culture shock for some.

Most are just scared to interact when there a lot of the military didn’t even really leave post to experience and it’s the same in diff countries
Hell the first few months I was terrified didn’t even really leave post often till I met someone who got me to stop being a bytch and enjoy life there and we ended up being best friends still to this day

People need to just go out and enjoy diff cultures and countries simple as that

Im seriously looking to move there in May. Headed there in 2 weeks, Ive spent a summer there. EASILY the nicest people in the world, and Ive been to every continent on the planet. You even start to get sick of hearing people call you 'sir'. The reason Im thinking about living there is because they have relaxed laws to buy property (land if youre married to one), you can get some nice houses in Angeles for 100k, front yard, back yard, swimming pool, 4 bedrooms. Its super nice. You can get a baller condo in Taguig for like 80k, thats a car note. Got yourself a nice retirement home or you can rent it out airbnb. The plus is the tropical weather, pinays love brothers, they speak english, the laws favor foreigners, easy to obtain drivers license, super cheap. Its a place to retire for sure. A lot of american take their pension to mexico but then you gotta learn spanish, Philippines is in english and they dont care what color or age you are, youre treated the same, heck people will even try to hook you up with family members. lol. waaaaaay different than xenophobic ass china. Philippines is hands down the least xenophobic place in Asia, Thailand second (but unlike Filipinos, Thais will give you the beats if you dont come correct)
