Is it easy to navigate tokoyo as an english speaker? Tokyo is a world city so i would assume so?

I know now it’s even more English friendly back to when I was there but even then more knew English than u think let alone the signs or train system is really easy regardless

A lot of the signs will be in English and most Tokyo natives will have passable English ability when it comes to basic words and phrases, but I would still learn some basic Japanese phrases and politeness

I am going japan for a month next year on a solo trip and I am starting an N5 language course now just to lesrn the pure basics

I have no interests in going to clubs or anything and mainly there for the new and old culture, food etc

Going to be amazing

As for this documentary, I watched it before and it was pretty good. I like the hair dresser that said “learn the language” and learn to live in japan and you’ll be fine

Yeah after my mom and dad are dead, I'm probably going to work at a Japanese university and retire there. If it wasn't for my closeness to my mother and father or if they were more amenable to a permanent move, I would never have come back to the states.

Japan both economically, socially, environmentally and otherwise was lightyears ahead for me in quality of living.

I still keep in contact with my old school and my principal. They offer me administrative positions yearly and tryin to get me to apply for citizenship.

A few owners there and Yokohama would let us get in for free or drink free cuz we bring a crowd with us once they knew we go to that club

I feel like people who complain about Japan being really racist are White people who mainly come from White-majority countries. So when they go to a 1st world non-White Homogeneous country like Japan and are treated like a minority they freak out.
