The other good thing about the field is that it's multiple ways you can play it long term:

-You can just ride it out as a W2 employee til retirement if you want

-You can bounce around from company to company building enough experience and relationships along the way to hopefully start your own business in the future

-Or just stack your paper and use that start-up capital for investments like real estate or whatever business

Reality is most of us in the black community just do not have that access to that old family generational wealth like cacs do for capital. Getting into a high paying career like IT is one of the best ways to get that startup capital

You don't have to go to school. A lot of it is how disciplined you are with self-studying and soaking up as much knowledge as you can at the job

Felony will probably hinder you if you were trying to work in govt or govt contracts but you coukd still probably eat in private sector
