He didn't have to kill that man.
The man shouldn't have attacked the cop.
The cop shouldn't have racially profiled the man.
This stuff is going to get worse before it gets better
I'll share some of the wisest advice I've ever received:
Cop tells you to do something, you do it. Don't stand there arguing with them, don't try to escalate the situation.
Just do what they tell you to do.
If they tell you to show your license, ask them in a clear and audible voice: "May I please reach into my pocket [glove compartment, etc.] for it, sir?"
Then move very slowly and deliberately.
He tells you to do something else, just do it.
