The problem is folks will want to run it back endlessly until they’re down REALLY bad or they win it back. He played almost 50 hands, so he ran it back plenty already. He just left while he’s aheadY’all sound stupid.

I’ve been in a similar situation a couple times playing poker on the strip. The old heads, more experienced players almost always told me to never let folks try to shame or guilt trip you to keep playing if you’re up big and once you do and lose, they’ll walk away just like you should’ve

Hell nahI leave when I feel I gave you a fair chance. If I walk in the door and hit you for $500. I’m definitely going to let you try to win some back. If we been shooting for a while and I’m just up on you it’s over.
Truth...if you've already played for awhile, that should be the unwritten rule: get up big and walk away. $18k up, sounds like he played long enough.Nothing wrong with breh leaving if he gave them a chance to win it back.

Gambler's mentality. They're convinced that if he keeps playing, they'd get some of the money back. A non-serious gambler would want that shyt to end because they feel like they could lose even more. Gambler always thinks he's got a shot.
