Well I actually travel... and I can tell you that this is not the truth.. Yes I see examples of hip hop culture in other countries but it's not a dominate force..
All those hats fitted hats, Shirts with large logos, Baggy clothes, showing your boxers, Basketball shoes half tied on your feet etc etc.
Its not as popular as you think.. But you would have to actually travel and not just look on Instagram, and Google to really understand this
The camera is really distorting a lot of perceptions in society as a whole.
Just because 50 cent does a hip hop concert in Moscow for 30,000 people doesn't mean that tens of millions of people are living like that or listening to that kind of music.. ... Like I said you have to actually go and travel to understand that everything you see on your tv or your computer is not real.. So it's far from beloved...
Quick example of what I mean.. I was in France a few months ago.. and we were watching tv.. And on there cable they get MTV, and a show with LL Cool J came on. And this is how he was dressed like
And they were laughing because he's like almost 50 years old and dressing like a kid...
I know you don't see anything wrong with this.. But Im telling you when you actually travel to places like Paris, and Rotterdam, and Amsterdam.. you will see that this hip hop style is not as popping as you might think..
