Intergration

Yeah, that has turned out to be a double edge sword. In his defense though 4 things, 1) He didn't create the Black issue in America. That was something he was born into. 2) He was more so about ending segregation rather than pushing integration. 3) Anyone who talks about the opposing integration, offers no viable alternatives. 4) MLK Jr. Has done more to tangibly improve the standard of living for millions of African-Americans than any other black person. To criticize MLK and blame for the ills that African-Americans face is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Do you think African-Americans would be better off if African-Americans never fought to end desegregration and individuals like MLK and W.E.B. DuBois were never born?

confession:

i wish black men were'nt hinged on a stereotype that not coming from struggle makes you less than ''black'', i came from struggle but never looked down on any of my black friends who didnt..

i hate how in school, i was looked at as ''soft'' cause my dad worked his ass off to get us out of that struggle and my life was comfortable at that time.

it makes me sad when people think im weird as a black man because i love anime and art and poetry but not the typical sorts guy, i get most respect from so called ''real nikkas'' when i work out and im in the gym..

im more than a stereotype, my minds tooo beautiful to be locked down in a box... *goes back to writing haikus*

Those bullshyt ass memes talking about a "real man" would step up to the plate and take care of another man's seeds really annoy the hell out of me. If you wanna go do that then more power to you. I guess the rest of us who managed to remain childless until we meet the right woman to create our OWN children with and get our shyt together aren't "real men". I can live with that, lol.

 This negus gets it.

Man fuc this thread, i feel like a bytch for voicin my opinion now

Don't. Black people spend to much time puttingo n a front and acting hard and emotionless all the time. It's human to express emotion and you are just as deserving of the right to express emotion as anyone else. There is absolutely no reason to feel shame for it.

Intergration

You know, integration didn't have to be a bad thing. The ability to move in white spaces and utillize their resources could have been a powerful weapon in the hands of American Blacks. It's just that old social programming made negroes lose their minds in their desire for whiteness and, well, here we are.
