If they are content with their lives and what they are earning then who the Hell are you to tell them differently? More money doesn't mean more happiness. It could mean more problems.![]()

What do you think of the state of blk men? Are we performing perfectly fine even though we’re at the bottom?
There's nothing wrong with mediocrity... Except for the term as it's a negative way of saying average. Let me rephrase it.
There's nothing wrong with being average. Most people on the planet are average. It's the average joe that keeps civilisation running, functioning and maintained.
People who look down at the average man need to watch this and learn the lesson
Seriously, why were western cartoons way better during the 1980s, 90s and 2000s!?
Breh these bare minimum nikkas in here disgust me man. Someone even dropped that “even millionaires happy” bullshyt argument. fukk outta here.Pointless conversation to have online. The average salary in Boston is $80k (continuously increasing), that’s not including the inherent wealth from non-black folks, opportunities missed out due to racism. $80k/annually isn’t enough for a black man with at least 15 years of experience.
The goal is to earn more (even better if one can do that while working less).
The money management BS talking is exactly what conservatives says when we people demand more.
A lot of negative-conditioning in this thread:
Average is good enough.
$xx,000 is enough for ____.
_ is average, so _ is sufficient.
It’s enough, manage your money better.
Like I said no different than body positivity, participation trophy rhetoric.
It keeps people at a subservient state, working till they die, not aspiring for more/easier.
Truth be told some of those individual contributor roles at a corporate level pay more, while working less.
These nikkas got their company-man, conservative talking points on deck smh
This sounds like you’re projecting. The main ones downing that man probably don't even have $1,000 liquid let alone $10,000, I have more than that in cash btw incase someone comes in and tries to call me broke.

We make less than any other ethnic group of men in America. Its high key embarrassing. Just telling it as it is.If they are content with their lives and what they are earning then who the Hell are you to tell them differently? More money doesn't mean more happiness. It could mean more problems.
Some black boys are traumatized by the school system which is why they don’t seek higher learning even with a good GPA
That's there, but a lot of brehs have this mentality based on frugality and thinking most people are excessive.
I think there's a degree of truth. Coming up I didn't understand the money men my age would spend on wardrobe. Now, I do in fact "understand", but I don't believe I'm in position to responsibly participate.
I think there's too many German cars on the streets and highways where I am. I know how people are getting in them, but I also know if they missed 2 months of work they'd be shytting bricks.
I made 6 figures last year and staying at home, I could've shot for a new 540 (my credit was bad so likely not), but I did a 2 year old Honda truck. Instead of jumping out the crib, I stayed. Glad I did because in 2023 the workload has been cut half for me vs 2022 so I didn't put 2-2.5K over my head while scraping 60K.
All that is to say I get living within your means. But after a certain point, if you're practicing a certain degree of frugality, or a certain length of time doing it, you don't make enough. The American average falls right in line with financial struggle. Saying you're just above financial struggle means baseline survival.
What is high key embarrassing is that guys running with your narrative are ignoring the fact that we are the only group that literally needed laws and courts cases implemented to help us even get a semblance of fairness in this society. It is no mystery why we are the lowest paid.We make less than any other ethnic group of men in America. Its high key embarrassing. Just telling it as it is.
We need to push some of these young boys into the trades. Plumbers, electricians, and city and state workers make good money. But people look down on those jobs, because they aren’t flashy.I think Black Americans need to focus completely on cornering highly skilled and specialized fields. That’s the path to top, in my opinion.
