I’m of the belief that our selfish behaviors are what have us in this mess. As a black man, I’m harder on us because I know all we’re capable of. As men, we have to be held to a higher standard.
I believe black men need to function in society the best we can in this climate, but we cannot turn our backs on our black sisters. As men, we have to lead and we cannot give up on our God given duties, even if it seems society is trying to suppress us. There is an attack on black men. I truly believe that, but we have to press on and focus on the community.
The moment we men completely give up, will be the moment we as a community are done.
