I just find it funny that the same people who choose not to vote then complain that politicians aren't doing anything

Our people are too easily brainwashed into thinking that our vote doesn't count

Caruso was running as a Republican for years before he "changed" to Democrat

Anyone who votes for him is suspect

Once again. People do not care if you vote. All this voter awareness shyt is always self serving. They want you to vote for their candidate of choice. So when you don’t vote it’s a problem. But if you vote, but not for a particular candidate, it’s still a problem.

At the end of the day, people gonna vote only if they want to. And if they do, they are gonna vote for the candidate they choose. You have to be a grown ass person to vote. Which means you don’t need to read 80 think pieces before deciding who you wanna vote for.

But but...they only talk about black women! Wah wah what about us men!???!!!?

It's like y'all are just EAGER....and I mean EAGER to be on the wrong side of history. Any politician who is sensitive to the needs and the rights of other people besides "straight black men" are now our sworn nemesis who we should not vote for. But any insensitive bigot who promises white power tax cuts, tough on crime policies, and especially anti-immigration is automatically a hero we should either passively or actively support.

And notice the bigot is held to NONE of the standards these idiots push against other black people. A black politician doesn't get our vote if it ain't reparations. If we don't get what we want we supporting this yee haw conservative whos promising to dismantle "entitlements." A black politician doesn't get our vote if they have a non-black spouse and mixed kids. So we gonna support a whole entire white family to win.

Yeah the Blexit brainwashing is working, at least on some sub-corner of brain dead dudes that want attention, bad. Y'all are no better than the broke cacs y'all mock for voting against their own interest just to spite black people. Here y'all are ready to shoot yourselves in the foot to spite...black women?

I'm done. TLR is an absolute joke.
These nikkas voting for the GOP are more like bed-wenches than they know. They both bend over and let white men abuse them just because they think the white mans ice is colder. When it’s brought up these people are the reason the way things are, they roll their necks and start that both sides shyt. These cats are bedbucks

Okay nikka so vote Republican or don't vote and let Republicans take over your government if you think that will serve or advance your interests, tough guy.

Yeah, I do vote for my interests. I do vote based off which candidate offers something for black men. It's in my interest to participate in elections and pursue a government that protects people's rights and is inclusive of all races, religions, cultures, languages and backgrounds. It is against my interest to vote--actively or passively--for a government that is exclusive to the wealthy and to the very status quo y'all clearly dont feel as uncomfortable with as you claim. All because I'm insecure enought believe that promoting women's rights is part of some zero sum game against men.

Karen Bass has a history in Congress of championing police reform, decriminalization of marijuana, criminalizing hate crimes against black people--often named after black men. This includes authoring the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, and the Emmett Till anti-lynching act. She has a proven record of addressing and defending black men and issues effecting black men.

Just the typical TLRepublicans telling people not to vote and misinforme sheep "thinking for themselves" but dont know shyt about politics for themselves taking the bait and handing over their power to vote to cacs in aimless protest over women's rights and interracial marriages.

Yall nikkas sad and lost.
You know instead of finger wagging and condescending at your peer who's concerns and opinions are just as valid as yours, why doesn't your type actually get to understand their concerns and press the politician you're supporting to include their concerns in their agenda or risk having an apathetic voter base that isn't as scared as you are of republicans?

Because then you can at least come back and say "hey this politician has heard your concerns and has proposed XYZ solutions what do you think about this and what can they do to improve on it".

I'm glad you feel empowered handing over your political power to those same "crackers" and doing absolutely nothing to advance a damn thing you armchair militant.

Don’t worry about what I’m doing over here. I’ll use my vote the way I want to, and you use yours.

Your sassy ass in your feelings and name calling because black people you don’t even know aren’t doing what you tell them to do (hmm where have I seen that before :jbhmm:).

But what else can I expect from a nikka softer than kitten heads named “velvet soul”smh.

Do you have an argument that isn’t a ridiculous hyperbole about republicans reenslaving people or people being trump supporters?

And we’ve experienced the evils of democrats too. Oh wait y’all said that was justified tho for the crime bill so what’s the big deal this time?
Reenslaving us doesn’t mean putting us back in the fields, it means the GOP are actively trying to dismantle any progress we’ve made as a people. Just like they’re going after roe vs wade, they’re salivating at the thought of overturning the civil rights act of 1964 and Brown. They literally want to make it legal to discriminate against us, which will manifest itself though housing ,education and employment. It’s not hyperbole to say by voting for these fascist or not voting you are contributing to removal of your own autonomy. Only a idiot or a agent will agree with your position.

Because they have no idea what they're talking about and just spreading right wing propaganda. They never speak in good faith. They aren't naming any "concerns" at all. And the few things that people have brought up Karen Bass either already has a proven track record in Congress fighting and even authoring bills for, or its already part of her platform these nikkas never even read.

So no, I can't find the energy to "get to understand" nor put in any work for people who are so massively uninformed and looking for any excuse to not vote.

And yeah, I am scared of Republicans. I'm not gonna put on some dismissive behavior towards a powerful political party that is actively trying to dismantle everything in this country just to look super militant. If you somehow feel comfortable with that than your full of shyt about being for black men, black people, or black power. Sorry.

Folks have giving cats who don’t understand politics the answer. We have advocated for voting in every single election, every single time no matter how insignificant it seems, but it’s like pulling teeth getting some nikkas to vote in any election other than the presidential election. When I’m at city council meetings they’re barley any of us there, and when you talk to our folks they say they were busy or them cacs are going to do what they want anyway or their vote doesn’t count. Our people should be pushing progressive liberal candidates that look like us into every elected position in this nation.

Bro here's what I don't understand, if you don't have the energy to try understand the people you're talking to, why even try to talk to them in the first place? What are you really trying to accomplish?

And I'm glad you have the honesty to admit you're scared. I think a lot of the issues is people like myself who aren't scared turn their noses up at people who are scared. If you're making moves influenced by fear, sorry, I'm automatically gonna write you off. Fear hasn't moved me since I was a teenager bro, sorry, you have some work to do on the inside before you can talk to people on my wavelength about any kind of movement whatsoever.

Why do you think that what I just quoted is an ineffective strategy?

Too many Black men in this current climate look up to white men and it's problematic.

This is the case of a segment of Black men who believe the white man's ice is colder and find him to be more trustworthy despite history saying otherwise.

If that cac wins LA mayor race and police start profiling and busting heads to the third degree those nikkas can't blame nobody but themselves but I guess they want to see a certain class of Black men fall to the hands of the police.

You get what you asked for...
It stopped? Ive also notice alot of yall shills be picking and choosing when police brutality is an issue and when to make excuses for the tough on crime democrats.

Do you think if it wasn’t so effective the GOP would fight so hard for voter suppression, gerrymandering and voter purges. It’s simple as if it wasn’t so important they wouldn’t try to take it.
