Show me an IT Manager or Cybersecurity analyst making 100k unless they work in NYC or San Francisco.
My lady is in cybersecurity and she makes well over 100k. But that’s after getting a bachelors, a masters, a bunch of certs and a top secret security clearance

It's very hard to get an well paying job without learning a trade or getting a college degree.

Only like three options if you don't have one of those two....

Warehouse
CDL
Transit (This only applies to major cities)

If there's any other jobs that pay livable wage money that don't require a trade or college, please post.

What’s the usual starting sparky for entry level? I heard it was 70-80K.

What were her majors? And when I say cybersecurity analyst I mean entry level position

I’m not exactly sure. She had been in it for a minute when I met her. But I think she was around 80k when I did. Her career took off ridiculously when she got the top secret clearance tho. I think she’s around 160k right now

Her bachelors was in computer science and her masters was in homeland security. Yea you right tho. Entry level definitely ain’t making 100k but it’s not too far off I would guess. Location means a lot. There’s alot of money to be made in that field here in MD with DC being right there

He should've spoken on steel mills, paper mills...there's still old school unionized plant jobs out here that literally require ZERO education where you can make 80k and up.

I made close to 90k and could've chased 100k if I wanted to...and I work at a paper mill. Never spent a day in college.

Most of the jobs he tweeted about require MUCH more than that.

Exactly.

She majored in CS, got a masters, and then went into working for the government.

I’m talking about entry level cybersecurity analysts that are pulling hard drives outta computers and are doing tech support. They not making 100k.

Plus yo girl got education.

You definitely right. Even with her being in the field I still barely know a damn thing about it. When she tells me what’s going on at her job she might as well be speaking another language

A good field to get into without much education--sometimes even without a HS diploma or GED is the merchant marine.

If someone has no felonies, can pass a drug test, and is a citizen then tell them to get a Transportation Workers Identity Card (TWIC) and unlicensed merchant marine credential as a deckhand.

Deckhands on tugboat in NYC or OSVs in the Gulf of Mexico start at $45K and can got to $50-60k in a couple years with experience. Inland (Mississippi or Ohio rivers) starts at $40k though is harder work with lots of barges to tie up.

Then someone can train as a tankerman by taking a class for $1k and you hit $70-80k. This can be done sometimes in only 2 years from start.

A bit more time and you can train as a mate or pilot and make $120k with no college degree.

Did I mention some companies have schedules where you work 2-4 weeks on and then 2-4 weeks off so you only work 6 months a year?

It sucks for relationships and kids though since you are gone for the whole time of your hitch.
