All of America has been completely brainwashed. The fact that we even talk about black and white is racism in itself. You look at our skin and none of us are actually black but we've been taught this since our time on this continent as a means of making us feel inferior. You can see the results of this slave mentality on this very site. Threads talking about dark skinned and light skinned and bi racial this and bi racial that. A lot of these posters are still thinking the way master taught us to. Some of these nikkas would be scared to look in the mirror if they knew there real ancestry - that's if they really hate whites like they lead us to believe. I personally love being black and wouldn't have it any other way but at the end of the day Im American too and wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. Theres very few countries where I could come home to my house I own where my wife and two kids are where I can play my PS4, watch my NFL and NBA and hold my nuts with one hand while I hold a Heineken with the other

This is the complacency that I fear among our people.

I don't care about other Americans because I'm a member of the black community. And, dominant society withstanding, our community is on the brink of becoming second-class citizens all over again.

Some people are content drinking alcohol and playing video games. I'm saying we can't afford to rest on our laurels under the guise that it's OK to enjoy being "American too" since times are rough for everybody. I can't.

So you're telling me that this whole country isn't brainwashed to some degree? We are the product of this country Your telling me someone who drinks and plays video games is complacent? You have no idea. I work 9-5 everyday, pay bills, have a wife, make sure that I educate my kids on their culture and make sure they know more than whats taught in school, plus Im black in America. After all that I deserve a damn brew. My kids are proud to be black and they have high self esteem, which unfortunately isn't the case for a vast portion of our community. Im making sure my kids don't become another stat and that starts with education and a strong house. You bold faced my comment on watching sports yet you have 4 Boston area teams in your avi one of which is a hockey team. You obviously enjoy and benefit from being an American. You come off as a hypocrite.

I was walking around the hotel and ordered some breakfast this morning and I had on a t-shirt, sweat pants, and flip-flops (what I slept in).

I'm sitting here doing work on the laptop and browsing TheColi () and this older black man (who is also a guest) told me that there's a dress code here and I should have respect for myself yada yada ya ya, eventhough everybody at the little resturant area basically were dressed down in a similar fashion

I told him that he was disturbing my work, so his ol' shuckin' ass goes to get a hotel employee, brought him back to my table and asked him, "Should he even be in here? "

The hotel dude is close to my age and we've chopped it up about sports and shyt the 2 days since I've been here and he basically had to tell Tobias that I wasn't breaking any rules and I'm a paying customer.

Thanks for that exercise in deflection. I'd expect that from a female but I guess I gave you a bit too much credit.

I believe I implicitly conceded in my earlier post that Americans in general may be brainwashed but I also emphasized that I don't care about other Americans (nor should anybody else from our community care), given the problems in the black community.

The subject of this thread is the brainwashing of black people.
One point that has resurfaced in this thread is that too many black people these days are content with doing things and engaging in certain behavior because other people do it too (and are to a further extent brainwashed).

I'm saying that being black in America means we have to be twice as good to be regarded as the same. Hence, although we can appreciate some aspects of America, we cannot settle for just being content (or thriving) individually and justify our collective inaction just because America in general is brainwashed.
