Every other minority group in this country have an unwritten code. This is why they prosper. We didn't have the luxury of coming here by choice and we have spent almost our entire existence here fighting for acceptance. That fight for acceptance has been self defeating
I won't say they have a code per se.
They are just more common denominators in their culture and what they're trying to achieve.
Most immigrants came here by choice, to live better lives, don't speak English and aren't from the West. A lot of these factors will isolate them from the Macro Culture of the USA. However, this works in their favor somewhat because they have
no choice but to pool their resources together. Their cultural, religious, and linguistic barriers allow them to move parallel to White Supremacy.
All of this is directly counter to the history of Black Folk. We are as American as apple pie. We speak White Supremacys tongue, eat White Supremacys food, and worship White Supremacys god. We don't have a "overarching mission" to be in America like other immigrants so we don't see a common goal with one another*. Lastly, because Black people and White people DO share A LOT of cultural similarities, a few of us know that we can become "the ones chosen" and find opportunities and success in firms and fields most likely dominated by Whites (i.e. leave the Black community). Meaning, we have little to no incentive to pool our resources with other Black people.
* i denoted this statement with an asterisk because it is a misconception that all immigrants get along and are on the same page. I live in Seattle and let me tell you,
its not Black people or CACS that are burglarizing the homes of these Asian people, and Seattle is one of the leading cities in the nation in regards to property crime.
