Up until Encore...he wasn't the hands most popular rapper ever like his overall numbers would say...but he in the mix with all the big mainstream rappers...I copped the first two shyts my self...he was an integral part of that early aftermath run...now Relapse and that whole 2nd act of his, he was Macklemore status

We was more shocked and wowed at the wild shyt he was saying back then. nikkas wouldn’t dare to say things about their own momma and themselves like that. Em took it all the way there. Plus the Dr Dre co sign made hood nikkas pay attention.

Once his shock value wore off most black people moved on but white people was still wowed and treated Em like a “Rap God” regardless of how lame he got and the trash he started dropping. Em can literally fart over a random YouTube beat and white people will make it go platinum on ITunes.

Eastside of that Motor
I don’t know all of my people from the D seemed to fukk with blade ice wood and doughboys. That isn’t meant to knock eminem he clearly sold a ton of albums and was extremely popular and had classics and put on 50.
I mean we were definitely on blade, east side chedda boyz, k deezy but Eminem got plenty play. I mean you’d even hear Eminem in the barbershop or on the court from time to time
