He literally changed and broke the superbowl rules... he did that thing his own way, and broke mj audience record doing that. Can't be more impactful than that.

He didn't compromise, was confident in his art enough to perform brand new songs, even songs that haven't been released yet, kept it hip hop, and had quite possibly the most layered performance ever at the superbowl. Not to mention it was filled with black culture references. shyt was so impactful that they still discussing it to this day and made him a much bigger star than he was 2 months ago, something that never happened with previous performers.

In real time it was called mediocre, ridiculed because he decided to play songs from his new album rather than the hits. How are you giving a hip-hop artist credit for "keeping it hip-hop"? What else would he have done if that's what his catalogue consist of. And I seriously don't think he can be any bigger of a star. He had the most hyped Superbowl performance of all time. Personally me and many others say the performance was a let down. While I'm sure many may have loved it.

Sadly he wasn't on the clock for doing a good performance.,or breaking attendance or streaming records. We could literally care less about that. That seems more like a stat Drake stans would be estatic about. So you Kendrick stans need to be careful of who your becoming, word to the wise.

Kendrick was on the clock to make a statement when given the largest platform any conscience, pro black rapper will probably ever have. The man had Donald Trump aka Red Headed Hitler hostage in attendance.

What did Kendrick Lamar do? Bu bu but Benefited,he had layers and symbolism:wow:"

Layers and symbolism? I have to laugh at that:mjlol:. I know my goats would've been far more direct given that opportunity Lol. I honestly believe even Jay-Z himself would've had a slick line or two about Trump. That performance was as safe as they come quite frankly.

That performance has been acclaimed since day 1, except by a few cacs that also hated on beyonce, usher and co...
You're getting shyt confused with the fact that Drake hold a hate contest to reward the most shared and liked negative comment about the performance...which clearly didn't work, because here we are, shyt is praised as fukk :mjlol:

And no, thanks god he wasn't more direct, would have been a wack move. We do NOT want that kind of crap.

But he did something very impactful...so impactful that it is still being replayed like crazy :ohlawd:

I remember a simpler time when Kendrick fans didn't want to talk about streams, views, tour numbers. Strictly wanted to keep it hip-hop:whoa:

I guess now we know the reason they didn't want to,was simply because Kendrick didn't have the cache to be top of the food chain at the time.

From a hip-hop perspective it wasn't impactful at all. It was safe, promotional. Not what you would expect from a pro black rapper who swears he's Pacs second coming. But it provided further clarity. He should stick with this new, poor man's Sada Baby flow. Because its a wrap on all that performative pro blackness he's been doing. You froze up in crunch time:respect:

This. You can't be more direct, it's not a YL type of performance, would have been a huge mistake, but hey, some people are slow lol

Most impactful superbowl show ever, objectively.

Can you imagine fans of N.W.A, Nas, Cube, Pac saying it would've been a "wack move" to diss the top seeded white supremacist on a global stage in front of record numbers:gucci:?

But this is the state of hip-hop. Y'all just want your guys to "win". Rather than actually be bold, make impactful statements or stand on the culture.

Well, congrats to Kendrick on his streams and views. Hip-hop was set back 10 years that night.

Explain how this performance was more bold than Beyonce paying homage to the Black Panthers:mjlol:?

I thought hers was performative and safe too,but she's Beyonce so that would be understandable. She doesn't have the content musically to do much more. But considering she's Beyonce, that Kendrick performance has her looking like Khalid Muhammad in comparison.:mjlol:

But I digress,I don't want to end up back in the Bushes,I've already said too much about the golden child:respect:

Can you imagine
Would have been corny as fukk. You're just talking about your preferences right here.
And for the record, it is by far the most impactful thing you'll ever be allowed to do at a superbowl performance...the kind of performance he had was already a massive surprise.

Do you even know the legal repercussions if a single lyric doesn't go as planned? every single word you pronnounce at the SB has to go under the supervision of two different teams of lawyers (Fox + NFL), you sign d contracts. If ONE ADLIB wasn't approved, you lose your entire networth, catalog and you're basically fukked as an artist, good luck even expressing your opinion through music after that. This isn't the 80 nikka, subtility is the weapon:mjlol:

Hate on deeper thinking in favor of tiktok...exactly why the country is where we are now :pacspit:
Deeper thinking. at a college level for popular music as an elective :mjlol:
They'll charge over 2k for that class and a bunch of clowns will come out who can do a dissertation on a halftime show.

Putting a blanket value on ANY college education is exactly why a lot of people are in eternal debt and are in the situation they're in.

That class might come in handy if they want to apply as an Intern at Complex Magazine.

So you didn't read and now you mad....again, exactly why our country is trash, with thought processes like yours and even have the nerve to be proud of your ignorance

I truly believe you just made this up:mjlol:

They don't have to do all that, because they know 99% of the people they would ask to perform, wouldn't ruin that relationship. Or close doors on other opportunities because of controversy. They never feared Kendrick would step out of bounds:respect:

He didn't compromise
He didnt compromise, you are right. He willingly performed for Trump infront of a majority MAGA crowd. His words hold no weight. If he was as militant as yall pretend he was, he would of told the NFL he not gonna perform if Trump there and leave the NFL in an uncomfortable setting. That would of been revolutionary. You know, the shyt he preaches? Instead he wanted more streams, sponsorships and attention.

He openly talks about how he wants "the party to die" and hes "not industry" but he has the most corporation sponsorships, grammies, performing infront of MAGA crowds willingly. Which party is it that he wants to die ? :jbhmm:

When do all those words he puts into songs that yall retarded posters eat up every album ever turn into substance or actions? :jbhmm:

This post isnt sponsored by Apple. Only Kendrick is.

Biggest grifter ever.

That performance has been acclaimed since day 1

Yall lie just to lie on here, it was trending on social media as "horrible" and "worst half time performance ever".

Never thought about that, making Goodell choose "The president or Kendrick". Now that would've been impactful. And as big as Kendrick right now,I'm leaning 70/30 they would've picked Kendrick:wow:

But I'm not even asking for anything that drastic. Subtly is fine, but I honestly don't recall this performance getting as much backlash as even Beyonce Black Panther Superbowl performance. So that means your messaging and content was way to subtle. The most backlash I saw was from people saying it was underwhelming. To shoot him some bail,it would've been hard to live up to the hype regardless. But I'm not making up the idea that people were expecting something more with Trump in attendance. Buddy was on the clock and fumbled.

"Many had expected Lamar to make a bigger statement, especially with President Donald Trump in attendance, but the star's performance remained resolutely uncontroversial - unless, of course, your name is Drake."

I've always seen him and Drake as two sides of the same "safe" coin. Both very palatable to cacs but for different vibes. Kendrick had his chance to prove us wrong. But he said "let me out the car" like Trey when it came time to put in work. Still a great emcee for what he does,he just doesn't do what y'all think he does:respect:

"Educators around the world" great so other "professors" of the humanities can over charge for it.

You right I didn't read the article. It's not worth reading. Creating a curriculum based on pop music is a waste of time.

But you wrong I ain't mad. :mjlol:
