Doesn't matter. Last I checked Color Purple took place in 1910s Georgia and it's a cultural magnum opus for American Black women.
The Color Purple is a fictious book. It does not matter what time period it is from, since the story itself is fiction. So if you are going to use an example, use an example that is non-fiction. What you did is something similar to someone using the Tarzan TV show as some example of how some African nation was in the past, when Tarzan is fictious.

Last time i checked the color purple wasn’t real.
like i said american bw and foreign bw do not have the same struggle with their men.

historically or currently.
Last time I checked "Based on a true story" is not the only way to convey real life issues. The book and movie being fictional is irrelevant to how it resonated with American Black women.

Like I said, the idea of vitriol for black men rooted in immigrant black women is hilarious.

"In 1967, Walker married Melvyn Rosenman Leventhal, a Jewish civil rights lawyer and the couple became the first legally married interracial couple in Mississippi."

"1982

The Color Purple is a 1982 epistolary novel by American author Alice Walker that won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award for Fiction"

So we are suppose to take what a longtime Divesestor (married to a Jewish man) wrote as a representation of the historical dynamics of Black American relationships? I suggest you try again with this. Find something that is from a more valid source and that is an actual non-fiction work.

how something resonates has nothing to do with historical accuracy. you can “resonate” with anything. it’s art and it’s meant to be interpreted

millions of american women resonated with 50SOG, that have never experienced BDSM
million of american women resonated with gone girl, who have never been married or abused
i resonated with He Got Game, my father never went to prison
I resonated with Whiplash, I don’t play the drums

that’s not how art works buddy.

Factually, not based on “resonation”, but factually American Black Women and Foreign Black Women do not have the same struggles currently or throughout history.

Nothing can change that. A woman from DRC and a Black American woman do not have the same struggle. For so many foreign black women their arrival in America is the first time they can speak their minds without being RAPED or BEATEN. And sometimes that creates conversations that are presented through a vessel of flat blackness that are actually ethnic in origin.

Why is this is a surprise?

When it’s the inverse you understand. Yall will understand and argue that foreign blacks face a level of third world poverty that is different than the poverty that exists in the first world, and for that reason black americans are often labeled “privileged or entitled” and you can understand that.

but then when we say the abuses and women’s rights violations that a lot of foreign black women experience at the hands of their men that black women don’t go through at the hands of their men, (often done with governmental support, approved by their men) all of a sudden things start getting lost in translation and you don’t understand.

This is why we call yall tethers.

goodnight brother

First, you're being literal to force being right when you're flat out wrong. Experiencing something is not the only way for something to resonate, but that doesn't negate the fact of it being experienced by a portion of the group.

Second, I am not a foreign Black person. Resorting to this conclusion because somebody pushed back on something is as ridiculous as the notion that anti Black male rhetoric is a non-American invention.

Funny you been calling out the simp defense force while simply being a double agent.

To the ignore list you go lol

You have nothing. You presented nothing other than your delusions. The covers show that you all have been talking about this long before non-ados were of consequence in America. You can't stand the fact that Cynthia G is one of yours. Christalyn K is one of yours and bell hooks is one of yours. By your logic, if a bunch of non-ados people started rapping, it would belong to us. That's stupid. :umad:
bro your logic and reasoning is trash

jet magazine covers are exactly that.............just covers ,they dont show shyt :mjlol:

But even in its usage, im still trying to see what point your proving. Is a obviously sensationalized headline really proving anything. shyt makes no sense whatsoever

Why do covers not work? They are indicating what is being talked about in the issue.

The covers indicate that the topis was being talked about in full by your people without any input from non-ados. It did not have to be imported to the US since it was already here and showing it in a widely published black magazine shows how aware and non-niche the topic was.

This one indicates that even around that time, some blacks in america were proud of their white ancestry and openly bragged about it while others were considering bleaching and that it took a whole considerable change in thinking and effort by black groups for them to start accepting and being proud of their blackness. In short, c00ning existed everywhere. This is also interesting because they talk about colorism but it is mostly framed in regards to the woes of black women in dating as opposed to other things, like certain groups of people tend to do.

Black women marrying out (note the tone - it is very supportive):

More of the same:

Black men marrying out (not as supportive, much like the current public discourse):

There's more but my point is, this shyt has always been in the US. c00ning occurs everywhere but the stuff here started here. Others are just joining in. :yeshrug:

:mjtf:Writing off what?? You not saying nothing I haven't been saying for YEARS. It is possible to be both dangerous and mentally ill (and I'm willing to push back on that 'not a dyke' shyt too, btw).

Do you not understand that you're part of the problem? You're literally doing the same thing they do: collating tales of the most degenerate and using them to propagandize. Bw do this same shyt. If my love for my ethnic counterpart was as flimsy as yours, I woulda been flipped because there's PLENTY of ammo.

I was talking to my mother the other day and she pointed out how none of the guys I grew up with is with a bw. They all with latinas, and I don't mean the cute ones. They fat, surly, don't cook, and wear bad wigs. I still pushed back, because I don't do the generalizations about my community. It's unhealthy. It becomes a contagion, like old girl in op.

Latinas are just quick fixes for thirsty, desperate brehs that want kids with non black features :francis: . Basically, a low budget version of a full blooded black female that is light skinned aka redbone.

But "The Color Purple" despite being fictional, literally kicked off the "black men aint shyt" propaganda campaign long before diaspora wars.

Its a dumb methodology to use to prove your point.

Even some of the things your mentioning, such as skin bleaching never really came into fruition here in america. BUT EXPLODED UNDERNEATH FOREUGN BLACKS. Just about everything mentioned was far worst oversea. What exactly is the point. I NEVER SAID FOREIGNS STARTED ANYTHING

i said there was an uptick, and compounded levels of visible c00ning that came along once they did

they are not "JOINING IN" their using flat blackness to get off their c00ning whie the chaos goes to us but not their respective cultures. Thats a whole entirely new dynamic. And yall in here playing dumb

And again they are freaking magazine covers lol :mjlol:

No, it worked perfectly and shows even more that you didn't even look at the links since all the shyt you mentioned was of concern in the US and is commented in each of the links. That is proof in their own words. Your own people are telling you this and you're still in denial. :mjlol:

In the end, all that was already in the US and it's stupid to think otherwise. As if everyone was a bastion of blackness and never c00ned until non-ados came along. By your all own's admission you'll claim that these people aren't c00ning like this in their own country and only start here yet somehow they brought this thing that they aren't doing in their country to this country and started here because of some magic c00n virus in the air that seems to exist in the US. Taken altogether it makes no sense. :skip:

Again, all the major people promoting all the bullshyt these women comment on are ados. bell hooks is ados. Cynthia G is ados. Christalyn K is ados. Ths is undeniable fact. And they all proceeded every talking point and slur used by any of the women you bring up. If this shyt was non-ados in origin, you'd be able to pinpoint who came up with it but you can't. I've provided proof for each point I've made and you've provided conjecture and delusions. You want to talk about an uptick, provide actual proof. Provide actual numbers. Until then, you've got nothing and I'm not entertaining anything you have to say. :manny:

As I said before, c00ning is universal but the shyt in America started in America with others joining in when they got here. That shyt was already in the US. :russell:

You've proven nothing except how desperate you are to score points, spending your time trying to dig up dirt searching for old JET magazine articles

You seem to acknowledge my point and miss it at the same time.

Again i've already said c00ning was over here already. Ive said this time and time again. No one thinks this was something that was imported.

My whole point is that the recent uptick and biggest modern explosion came from an influx of foreign flags. They were c00ning in their own countries. But when they come over here they place that chaos underneath blanket blackness, not their respective cultures, knowing that the lions share of chaos is going to come to us specifically

The evidence is in the people, its all through out social media. A huge portion of this has a foreign flag behind it. Your just pretending not to see it. Most of the viral shyt has a foreign flag behind it. Name the dynamic where fbas added to c00ning to a country using the banner of those people. It don't matter what we were doing on our own, these people are talking as us while not being us. And its going to get called out

cynthia g's spaces are full of non fbas. Deploying this actual method. When asked for everyone to mention their specific backgrounds those rooms go silent. Ive done this myself

once fba proliferates even more, annd backgrounds get checked. We all are going to see that tethers are the modern face of all this
