Why do covers not work? They are indicating what is being talked about in the issue.
The covers indicate that
the topis was being talked about in full by your people without any input from non-ados. It did not have to be imported to the US since it was already here and showing it in a widely published black magazine shows how aware and non-niche the topic was.
This one indicates that even around that time, some blacks in america were proud of their white ancestry and openly bragged about it while others were considering bleaching and that it took a whole considerable change in thinking and effort by black groups for them to start accepting and being proud of their blackness. In short, c00ning existed everywhere. This is also interesting because they talk about colorism but it is mostly framed in regards to the woes of black women in dating as opposed to other things, like certain groups of people tend to do.
