I love it everytime I see this video. I hate when the media does gotcha moments with folks.

I don't care for Chris Brown, but I actually wished he did the same when Robin Roberts on Good Morning America did that interview with him years ago and pulled out the gotcha moment.

A lot of times these entertainers agree to certain questions to not be asked. Yet these hoe ass reporters go off script and still ask questions to shyt that was not agreed on.

fukked up shyt is they will have a white entertainer on and ask them softball questions.

you basically made his point... he went into more detail later in the show


basically if he's supposed to be a good reporter.. and he gets an interview with greg hardy or somebody.. he can't go up there and NOT ask him about domestic abuse... he'd be seen as a shytty, softball reporter, who looked out for black guys and never pressed hard or in your face questions


on the other hand... black athletes want these same reporters, to not talk about shyt they do, not report on times they fukk up, not even speak on having a bad game... just look out on some "i got you bro" type shyt

but when it's time to do an interview, so you can give your truth or hook me up with an exclusive... oh then you're nowhere to be found.. and when i lose my job, you ain't hooking me up either

so basically i got a job to do and a check to get... we ain't friends.. this is business

He's right. Black players want black reporters to skirt around the facts and refuse to do their jobs, which will ultimately get them fired. Skip said that black players treat black reporters differently and expect them to paint players in a positive light all the time, which is a dangerous thing to do. He said that players ultimately end up not talking to black reporters, and instead talking to white reporters, because black players have an unrealistic and damaging view of black reporters.

Black players need to stop expecting ludicrous favors from black reporters and just treat them like reporters whose job is to report the facts, not gloss over everything and let white reporters get the scoop.
