Another example to add to the Parenting is the problem bracket. Schools can't fix your children if you have not raised them right. It's not on society. Sending them out hoping and praying they come back better. School is not magic.
If you don’t think this is by design to let corporate America IN to privatize education…..you aren’t paying attention.
Please Stop with the casual conspiracies. My god....

yeah the writing lines is pretty unproductive anyway….I didn’t realize how awful a lot of my teachers were and the shytty teaching/disciplinary methods they used until I started teaching

one thing that was ridiculous to me from an educator’s standpoint tho was having a principal tell me I shouldn’t recommend holding a student back bcuz I was doing it “for spite”…her “reasoning” was it wasn’t fair of me to suggest holding him back for not doing any work all year (literally none) bcuz we don’t know if he’s capable of doing the work since he didn’t do any lmao…I just decided I wasn’t gonna argue with this crazy bytch as a first year teacher and just let the student pass smh

I didn’t watch the whole video but I definitely wouldn’t teach in certain schools due to the lack of discipline/support from administration…I would prefer working at a school in a “middle income” area that has a decent population of black students
Former teacher here. The politics and bureaucracies in the education field is such bullshyt! They will not let you leave these kids behind. In my day, if Bobby wanted to act a fool all fukking year, he sat next to the teacher the whole school year, and he got to try again next year. Now they just want you to move them on through. That’s the reason why you see kids in high school that could barely read or do math. And don’t even let me get started on the parents’ lack of parenting. I do not ever want to go back to that shyt.

Throwing desks at the teacher is COMMON?? :dahell:

Kids wildin like that in school?

hell yes. :mjlol:

I had a 10 y/o girl flip out and throw a desk over (not AT me tho) cuz I asked her to see her homework a second time (very politely too and not fake polite) cuz I wasn’t sure she heard me…flipped that shyt right over and started screaming uninterrupted for about 10 seconds…I was a first year teacher so my reaction at the time wasn’t professional but I couldn’t help it and burst out laughing which caught her off guard…I told her I was sorry for laughing and not to mistake that for “acceptance” of her behavior which was completely unnecessary when she could’ve just spoken to me privately and explained why she didn’t have it…anyway she was the sweetest thing after that lmao…but her overreaction to that shyt had me dying man lol

Just as with parenting, large numbers of men abandoned education and left the whole setup in the hands of women...and just as with parenting, it's now run by feels. If you think that's an exaggeration, ask any male teacher you meet how the responses go when they bring up needed disciplinary changes. For most of these kids the only structure they come across that has consequences that reach them are either from coaches or ROTC. (THAT is surely not coincidental, either.) No discipline at home, no discipline at school, children are now academia's lab rats to be played with any way they please, pills for everybody.

Do that for 3 or 4 decades and tell me what you get.

ya I didn’t realize how real social promotion was until I became a teacher…only once have I seen a student get held back in the roughly 20 years that I taught…slightly OT but I also didn’t realize that the adults would be the most frustrating part of the job as well (other teachers, administrators, and parents smh)

Yep. Too many factors, not enough rewards.

Above the fray.

Parenting/family/household is the foundation of society
I get becoming disillusioned or jaded over time when the job or operating environment no longer resembles what it once was.

.
She LITERALLY says that the quality of parenting has changed, which has produced a notable change in the behavior of students since she started teaching.

aka the job/operating environment

Who would want to teach these animals? You couldn’t pay me enough to give a f*ck about them. They’re annoying enough just in regular civilian settings. These parents are trash and so are their kids.
