Kids early = better sperm/eggs from the parents so the kids will usually be healthier

Kids later = parents have more resources, maturity etc., so the kids will likely perform better in school, be smarter etc

There's merit to both sides. You should want to be at least financially stable at the bare minimum. The most important thing is a good support system on both sides. Make sure that the person you have a kid with has good family dynamics or at least family oriented. That can help a lot and give you a breather when you need it. But you're never truly ready for a kid until it's here
