Black Uber/Lyft Drivers Being Too Comfortable Thread...

Never used Uber or Lyft but this is basically a respect issue. Why do some black people feel that they have to be less respectful and unprofessional when they encounter another black person. I think this is the real question you want to ask.

I got Sirius Xm and I would play wat tha fuk I wanted when I drove.. They wouldn't care I had over 5 stars for months.. If u elderly then I would play some old school shyt but if u around my age or younger then I would play wat I want.. If u was a bad bytch I would hit rewind and que tha song when they got in.. U can get tha fuk out of u liked but they neva did.. On tha weekends they would tell me to turn it up.. No I don't have a aux and my Bluetooth won't pair when I'm driving so sit back shut tha fuk up and I'll get to where we're goin under ur estimated time.. I would make ova $1000 a week and stayed wit 5 stars.. I swear some of yall some straight bytches on this site..

I do Uber on the weekends as my side hustle. I make a quick 300-500 on weekends (Fri night/Sat Night) especially when there are concert/game. I dont give a fuxx what my riders are my ride my radio. I listen to whatever I want; nothing with a bunch of curse words, normally Sports Radio talk.

Like you say sit back enjoy this cheap and quick ride, talk if you want to talk I'll talk back but mostly just shut the f up and lets both get what we want out of this quickly. I am not your personal chaffeur or Taxi driver. Lot of you all are expecting luxury service. If so get the Black/Lux or whatever or an actual taxi.

FYI:
5 stars and after you achieve 5 stars over time its impossible to lose easily. Some people think Drivers actually care about your rating. After awhile it doesnt matter once you hit 5 stars. Uber will take the drivers side on any dispute/issues/etc.

If the music is loud and explicit, I’ll explicitly tell the driver to turn the music off.

If they don’t, one star.

Sometimes, I’ll leave five stars and leave a comment so that it would show up on their profile and say that they are a shytty driver and avoid.

Doggy unless you were raised by wolves, talking any kinda way or blasting music with explicit lyrics with words like "p*ssy", "b!tch", "hoe", "fukk", "n!gga" around your elders and children is NOT okay.

If i'm with my friends and we in my backyard and jamming to shyt we all listen to, then fine. But if one of their parents or children was to show up we switching to shyt that doesnt have explicit lyrics all over it. It may still be rap or whatever but when easily distinguished cusswords and sexually explicit lyrics are in the song, it's being skipped. Like my trinidadian friend whos a freak. She loves all that trap shyt and it's cool when it's just us her friends around. But the minute her daughter or her mother show up we switch to more chill shyt and caribbean joints who dont have cussing.

Call em whatever but most people would agree your parents failed you and you're about to fail your own kids.

Because this is who we are by nature. Doing the opposite, being respectful and professional, for most of us, is seen as putting up a front or acting white. We put up fronts for other people, at work, etc. But when we around our own, that gives many of us license to be ourselves, which means less respectful and unprofessional.

I usually have an issue with them asking me out, or tryna ask for my number, or Instagram, etc.. other than that I try to respect their flow and if they want talk a little I’ll talk, or if they don’t I’ll just enjoy the ride, thank them and be on my way.

That's the word i was looking for.

And that's the problem with a lot of people out there. They have no sense of awareness and Decorum is completely non-existent so any behaviour is acceptable anywhere. Some street rapper told them that keeping it real = being your bare self everywhere and they took that and ran with it.

Dont get me wrong breh when im chilling and feel like listening to dumb and grimy shyt i do too. But i understand that there is a time and place for everything and every behaviour.

I take these shyts regularly on the way to and from the Atlanta Airport ever week. nikkaz will turn up the music when I get in the car, start rappinn and singing along, driving faster, and playing explicit shyt when I get in.

Now I don't mind because I like for my driver to be comfortable but I wonder if they'd do that shyt if it were a cac...

I'm usually dressed down so that probably contributes to the shyt and maybe they wouldn't do it if I was in a business suit, but I seriously doubt they'd do this shyt with non nikkaz.
